I'm with you on several points.

I don't NEED a Bronco. Heck for what I "need" it would make more sense to get a jacked-up 4wd pickup.

But my kid has an EB... And that's what I want, but without the constant money and labor hastle of an old vehicle.

And yes, Granger is the real deal. If I still don't have my Bronco by the time the new Dakota is available (although there is conflicting info about if it's really happening) I may just buy one of those.🤔
Oh yeah, the new Dakota slipped my mind Tricia. I'll add it to my list of maybe's. I'm not sure when it's supposed to rolled out either. I've heard '23, and '24. But wouldn't a 5.7L Hemi 4wd Dakota put a smile on your face. :) Can you hear me Stellantis?...................

I’m a week 1 reservation holder and placed my order in January 2021. Can I 99 my order now to wait for the mod top to be available and still receive price protection ?

Hello Granger Gang!

We wanted to update you more regularly on some Frequently asked questions our team often receives in the hope to cut down on excessive emails and phone calls. If you still have any questions that were not addressed, the best way to contact us would be at [email protected]. We try to keep all communications through email so we have a paper trail we can both refer back to if necessary.

Granger’s FAQ

What is Granger Motor’s Allocation?

On average, we have received approximately 10 Broncos per month scheduled and we expect this to continue for the remainder of the 2022 Model Year.

In an effort to improve our allocation, we have attempted to order additional Bronco Sports for our lot, opted into paying for displays and other Bronco swag from Ford, and anything else we could. We are hoping to see a positive change in our allocation for Model Year 2023.

What is a status 19 or 99?

Your vehicle's status determines whether or not your Bronco will be scheduled by Ford. If you are at a status 99 your bronco will not be scheduled. If your bronco is at a status 19 it is available to be scheduled in Ford’s system. We will not put a lower status than a 19.

Can I place a new order?

Unfortunately, at this time, I can not submit a new Bronco order. Ford has disabled this option as of 03/08/2022. I will be able to submit new orders once the order banks open for the 2023 model year.

When do the Order banks open for Model Year 2023 Broncos?

The Order banks are scheduled to open sometime in Q4 of this year. Our best guess would be September or October. Once the order banks open, we will be reaching out to every customer asking for an updated 2023 build and price and other updated documentation we may need.

Am I able to make edits to my order?

Yes! We are able to make edits to your order, however you are subject to the price increase that has recently been established for 22.5 Model Year Broncos. This is what Ford has relayed to our team,

“Changing the series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system after March 11, 2022 will cause a customer’s order to update with new mid-year price levels.

Due to the overwhelming amount of order edits our team receives, we are asking that our customers only make one final change until the 2023 order banks open. If you would like to make your final change, We will need a build and price from Ford’s website in the form of a PDF.

My Order hasn't moved up in the list for months, why is this?

It is more than likely that you have commodities on your build that Ford does not have the necessary parts for. We recommend that you consider taking off commodities that are slowing down your order.

What are some commodities I can take off of my build to speed up the process?

Commodities are always changing, but to be safe these are the commodities we recommend removing from your build. Towing, Hardtop, 2 door, 2.7 engine, Modular Front Bumper, Sasquatch, and Lux Package.

Can I convert my bronco order into a Bronco Everglades?

Yes! You can Convert your Bronco order into a Bronco Everglades. Due to the Everglades being a specialty vehicle however, this will take away your under invoice offer, remove your price protection, and be sold at MSRP.

Can I convert my order into a Bronco Raptor?

No, all Bronco Raptor allocations have been preselected by Ford to selected early reservation holders. These Bronco Raptor orders have been confirmed with our team. We expect that early reservation holders next year will have the opportunity to order a Bronco Raptor if selected by Ford, but we have not received confirmation at this time.

How does the Ford Price Protection Work?

Ford’s price protection has recently changed as of March 3rd 2022. Please read this carefully.

PRICE LEVELS EFFECTIVE MARCH 11, 2022

2022-model Bronco PL220

Dealer Invoice changes will be effective March 11, 2022.

PRICE PROTECTION KEY MESSAGES

A subset of Bronco customers (group 1) is currently price protected and will not be subject to price increases. This group of customers is made up of customers who placed a reservation or an order prior to March 19, 2021. These customers qualify for the “total offer” column in the chart above.

Customers who are not price protected are made up of customers who placed an order without a reservation after March 19, 2021 (group 2) or customers who placed a reservation after March 19, 2021 (group 3). These groups (2&3) can only qualify for the “Mid Year J2 Pricing” column above if certain criteria are met. See below and attached for further detail about how this group of customers is potentially subject to pricing changes.

Group 1 – Customers who placed a reservation or an order prior to March 19, 2021

Qualify for private offer (Program 38406) to cover difference between 2021 and 2022 MY (’21 → ’22 J1 Price Protection Amount). These customers also qualify for the Ford retail order price protection process (Mid Year J2 Pricing).

Customer message: While these customers are price protected, encourage them to update their orders exactly as they want them as changes after March 11 will require a manual process to maintain price protection.

Dealer message: 2021 to 2022 (J1) pricing is loaded into Smart Vincent as a private offer amount paid directly to the customer (Program 38406). Adjustment from mid-year pricing (J2 to J1) is generated automatically and paid to the dealer’s payment statement after the dealer records the sale in smart Vincent (system will produce a price protected adjustment amount once it verifies that the customer who bought the vehicle matches the customer who placed the order). You can expect that payment 30-45 days after the sale.

If a customer wants to change their order after March 7, it will require a manual process.

Further details will be provided on this process at a later date.

Group 2 – Customers who placed an order without a reservation after March 19, 2021

Potentially qualify for the Ford retail order price protection process (Mid Year J2 Pricing).

Customer message: Ensure that orders are accurate and reflect current customer preferences as changes after March 11 could result in increased pricing for customers.

Dealer message: Consistent with Ford retail order price protection process, make sure customer orders are accurate, because changing series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system. after March 11, 2022 will cause orders to update with new mid-year price levels.

Assuming no changes are made after March 11, 2022; adjustment from J2 to J1 is generated automatically and paid to the dealer’s payment statement after the dealer records the sale in smart Vincent (system will produce a price protected adjustment amount once it verifies that the customer who bought the vehicle matches the customer who placed the order). You can expect that payment 30-45 days after the sale.

Group 3 – Customers who placed a reservation after March 19, 2021

Potentially qualify for the Ford retail order price protection process (Mid Year J2 Pricing).

Customer message: We’re pausing new retail orders of the 2022 model year Bronco after March7, 2022, and while there are no guarantees, make sure to convert your reservation to an order 2014 Template before then for the chance to get a 2022-model-year Bronco SUV. Placing an order before the March 7 cut-off will create a 22MY order at J1 pricing levels.

Dealer message: Consistent with Ford retail order price protection process, customers must convert their reservation to an order to have a chance for a 22MY. To receive J1 pricing, the customer must 1) convert to an order 2) take delivery of a ‘22MY Bronco and 3) not change their: series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system after March 11, 2022.

Ford’s Price Protection FAQS

What order change actions will affect pricing?

Changing your series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system after March 11, 2022 will cause your order to update with new mid-year price levels.

An example of a series change would be going from Badlands to Big Bend. An equipment package refers to base, mid, high, or lux package. A door change would mean going from a 4 door to 2 door and vice versa. A 4x4 system change reflects changing to or from the standard 4x4 system to the advanced 4x4 system.

End of Per Ford

How much will adding HOSS 3.0 change my pricing?

Adding HOSS 3.0 to an existing Wildtrak order will add $2,515 MSRP. It is a simple feature and does not trigger a change in series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system.

How does a customer switch to a Raptor or Everglades and still qualify for pricing protection?

J2 order banks will open March 8 after the cutoff. Because these are new series, they do not qualify for any price protection.

What is a customer who is price protected (group 1) reimbursement amount based on?

A customer’s price protection amount is based on a similarly equipped vehicle, based on the selected series and door configuration they reserved or ordered as of October 1, 2021.

What is the difference between the different dates in March?

The retail order bank is closing on March 8. We communicated to customers that the order bank was closing after the 7th to give some buffer time. While the order bank closes on the 8th for new orders, the new price amounts don’t take effect until March 11. This is again to give you time to deal with all requests that come in.

Will the chip shortage affect my Bronco order?

It is likely that your order will be even further delayed by the chip shortages that our country is facing. Broncos that were scheduled in January have been delayed and we were not scheduled any Broncos in the month of February.

Are there any alternatives to ordering a Bronco?

Yes! If the wait for a Bronco is too much, we are offering other under MSRP and Invoice specials. I have provided a few below.

Jeep Wrangler - 4% Under invoice (3-4 Months)

Jeep Gladiator - 4% Under invoice (3-4 Months)

Other Jeep Products - 3% Under Invoice (3-4 Months)

Bronco Sport - 6% Under invoice (3-4 Months)

Will you be installing the front license plate bracket?

Absolutely not!

Are you associated with any shipping companies?

We are not associated with any shipping companies. If you would like to ship your Bronco, you’ll have to coordinate with a shipping company and we will help facilitate once your shipper arrives.

When should I book my flight?

Not until after your Bronco has arrived and you have been contacted by our finance department. We require two days with your Bronco in order to have the time we need for our service and detail departments to have the appropriate time they need.

What is my place in line?

Below you can search for your reservation number and see what place in line you are on our active orders list. If you do not see your reservation number, your order is either a status 99 or you’re still in reservation status. I am unable to change this until the order banks open in Q4 of 2022.

Please remember that having constraints on your build puts you at risk of being skipped over and having a more viable build scheduled instead.

If you do not know your reservation number, you can find this on your reservation page where you reserved your bronco.

Our team wanted to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this difficult process. We understand how frustrating and disheartening this experience can be. Thank you for your continued support and we hope to continue working with you for years to come.

Thank you again,

Team Granger Motors
Yeeeowza --- if I'm reading this correctly & using the current allocation numbers, I'm going to be MY 2026. Thats better than I was sarcastically expecting of 2028. I wonder if I can put my order in my will to a family member.....But I don't think they're going to want it.

I picked up my Bronco from Granger a couple weeks ago. Outstanding interactions with Hunter and a great buying process. Thanks much, Granger!

I sure hope Ford fixes their messed up allocation system so all of you can have the same awesome experience.

I went ahead and ordered a Bronco Sport Badlands (can’t wait that long for a FS Bronco, yet!) from Granger yesterday. Mainly based on the communication on here.

My Current lease ends in August but all good things are worth waiting for. I’m still waiting for someone to pinch me and tell me this is all a dream and this is the furthest I’m going to be traveling for a car deal. First Ny to Connecticut, then Massachusetts and Now Iowa.

The only thing I couldn’t get a concrete answer on was if they would honor the $1000 custom order rebate when it comes in. I was emailed that finance will go back and look at the best incentives available to me, so I kept a copy of the rebate for reference.

Happy to be along for this ride and hoping that everyone gets their vehicles soon.

Welcome to the forum Anthony. What they told you was correct. You will get the best incentives at the time of delivery, whether it's the $1000 custom order rebate, or the rebates at the time of delivery. I ordered many cars in my time on earth, and that's how it's always worked.

Like you I will be driving farther (1100 miles) for my Bronco than I have any other car I ordered. And it's all because of Zach, and Granger being open and honest about the deal.

Absolutely agree with you. The transparency has been amazing at Granger, from Jaime, to Ashleigh (who I’m sure is getting bombarded with emails daily from tire kickers) they’re definitely taking the high road in the car business. I liked the answer that they we “go back and see what’s best at the time” I totally understand that and it makes sense, I just needed the reassurance because I’ve never received a rebate before on a car deal. Plus the way ford advertises it is a bit confusing because they throw in a “must take stock April 4th” and I’m sure they get asked the same questions hundreds of times a day.

I still can’t believe how simple this was, and I’ve already sent a friend who is ordering a nice F-150 Lariat Fully loses with the turbo from Ashleigh as well.

My dealer quoted me the website price with the lease acquisition fee not removed (although I plan to purchase) and then tacked on $500. Ha!

From What I’ve read elsewhere granger also on marks up Extended Service Plans $50 above cost. I’m a tried and true fan of Geicos MBI or shopping third party, but I might just keep it in house this time, when the time comes.

In what is probably the most challenging time to purchase and order a vehicle Granger has taken the high road, increased transparency and has gone above and beyond with realistic dates. I initially wanted a full-size bronco but they were honest about their situation and didn’t just try to take my money which I told Jaime “makes me want to order a vehicle regardless.”

Kudos to the Granger team, and I plan on referring anyone who mentions a Ford or Stellantis product.

I'm happy to hear that you are pleased with Granger. They have all been very good about putting up with my craziness during this Bronco fiasco.

When I have bought extended warranties I'm one that always goes with the manufacturer extended warranty. I've been lucky with my Fords, and only had to use it one time. It's very easy, they just look at your coverage, fix your car, and off you go. We were Albuquerque in our previous GM plastic car, and the rear centerpiece started acting up. I pulled into a Chevy dealer there, and had no problems because I had the manufacturers warranty. If, and when my Bronco arrives I'll buy one from Zach for my peace of mind, and hope I don't ever have to use it. :) Ain't that something, I'm betting it will break down, and Ford is betting it won't.........Good lunk on your baby Bronco. I hope it's built soon.

BTW, when they told you about the problems with the Bronco's I'm one of those caught up in the mess. My original build date would have been late summer/early fall of this year. Now with the change Ford made it looks like I won't get a build date until sometime in '24 if I'm lucky. And my case isn't as bad as others. There are folkshere that have a first day, first hour reservation, and still haven't got a build date. It's quite sad. I am seriously thinking of ordering a '23 Ranger from Granger when the order banks open, and scuttle the Bronco. The thrill of the new Bronco has kinda gone away for me.

I am so far down the list, even doubling up the allocation, I'm still looking at over a 2yr wait - that's not viable.

Has anyone taken advantage of the alternative options for a Jeep? or other make / model?

I have a 2-door manual Badlands order with Granger that's showing up as 65 on the list, but with multiple commodity sins (2-door, hardtop, Lux, tow).

I ended up ordering a 2-door manual JL Rubicon from Granger, which will hopefully arrive much sooner.

We have had quite a few people email us and take us up on the 4% under invoice offer for a Gladiator or a Wrangler.

I dragged my feet and didn’t placed my reservation until October 2020. I needed to replaced my old car in order to hold on for the long wait. Therefore, I placed an order at Granger. 3 months later the car was ready for pickup. There’s no BS, no games, no tricks. You agree to the price and that’s what I paid. A month later my father in law placed an order with them. And picked it up two weeks ago.
They are very nice people, and most importantly honest.
We drove from Texas to do business with them. I have been screwed over by other dealerships but thanks to Granger never again.
Hope that helps!
And now I continue waiting for my Bronco and my second trip to Iowa.
Thanks!

A member here @AzScorpion ordered a 2 dr Rubicon from Granger, and was quite happy with the transaction. Like me he waited until Oct. to reserve his Bronco. And also like me has gotten frustrated with Ford's shenanigans. His Jeep was bult in the timely amnner, and the deal was smooth as silk. Ford has done a really good at selling Jeeps to members on this forum. :)

I did the same. There are quite a few things I like on the 2-dr Jeep over the 2-dr Bronco (how the rear seat is fold and flip, plus it's designed to be removed easily). Ordered a 2-dr Rubicon with hard top on 2/15. It was built on 3/15. Just waiting on shipment to Granger (hopefully mid-April delivery). Process so far has been super easy.
