What's everyone doing with their antenna?

I got one of those stubby antennas early on before I got my Bronco but now that I have it I really like the antenna and will be selling the stubby

After installing my pillar lights I found that the antenna was in the way. I may end up ordering some brackets to push the lights up and out (JCR looks good, but I want stainless steel so it doesn’t rust later) but for now I went to the hardware store and arrange an antenna delete for $1.12. I purchased a 1/4” x 3/4” long stainless cap screw and a plumbing washer. I colored the screw with an oil paint marker I had in the toolbox, and here is the result. If I need to swap the whip back on it takes a few seconds.

Yes, you want something in the port to dramatically reduce corrosion risk. That port is connected to the end of a cable that runs from that location on the fender to an end connected to the radio behind the dash. Moisture can transverse the cable and corrode it bad enough that it no longer works effectively.

Google helps a lot with these types of questions.

This is the Cravenspeed I ordered, which appears to be identical to @mikey_photo ‘s above. Even though it says “F150”, it works great on the Bronco…

Cravenspeed Stubby

Does the Cravenspeed Stubby allow you to pull the passenger wiper out to the service position without hitting it? This annoys me with the OEM antenna, though maybe there's some particular angle I have to pull the wiper out at that I'm not getting right...

Bought a cheaper rubber stubby from Advance Auto. One time I was driving and noticed that a lizard had hitched a ride on it!
