I still haven’t seen my antenna lol. I see these posts but by the time I walk outside to go anywhere I forget lol. It must not bother me. 🤣🤣 Now the actual sound is a disappointment.

I might be in the minority, but I like the look of the old school antenna.
I do also! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the antenna. Not just some thin coat hanger POS. It is actually kinda beefy and adds to the rugged exterior IMO. I was all set to install a stubby but not once I saw it. I have a stubby antenna from Cravenspeed already to install just sitting in the box. PM me if you are interested. I'll give you a nice discount for a brand new stubby!

I put this antenna on my truck and it works good. Loses a little from the stock one but I listen to FM station daily and it is 52 miles away. I tried the craven and could not pick up the station at all.
Rydonair 13”
Okay, here’s the Verdict from my end:

- Rydonair 13” flexible mentioned above works pretty well on my ‘17 F150. I’m still going to unscrew it when I go through the carwash, since it’s easy enough to do, but if I forget to take it off, it’s flexible and should be okay.

- Cravenspeed Stubby, even though it was stated to be “only for the F150”, actually works better on the Bronco, even on AM. There’s still that buzzing tone in the background, but I always get that, even with OEM antennas.

Any antenna that works on ‘09+ F150’s should work on the Bronco. They both use 1/4-20 holes. I don’t know why so many of the antenna sellers say they’re only for one or the other…

Also… I love how everybody who doesn’t mind the stock antenna and/or never listens to radio still has to chime in with their opinions. It’s so B6G…

I saw it once when I was really looking for it.

Fingers crossed for you. I also got no kind of seller support when I reached out for assistance so I'm skipping trying another version from the brand I originally ordered. I see a lot of people really like CravenSpeed so I may consider them next as well. Please let us know how it goes for you with the Stubby.
I would but at this rate that 3 year journey at this point . 😞

Btw, I don't know if it's been said in this thread before, but the OEM stock antenna fits well inside the hinged compartment in the rear of the truck. So I store mine in there in case of an emergency. I run a Cravenspeed daily, but really, about 95% of the time I CarPlay so it doesn't really matter so much for me.

Second that. The stock one looks ridiculous. Except to the 1%ers that still listen to FM and AM radio. That's the first thing that goes on all of my vehicles.
Eh - when I drive locally I listen to local sports radio

I went with the CravenSpeed stubby. They’re about $25 and come in a few different lengths/flavors.

Could you please link to the version you used? There are a bunch for different models. Thank you!

I like the stock one because if it hits something in a parking garage or Drive-through it serves as a possible early warning to pending disaster.

I bought the Cravenwood stubby. I'm not impressed.

I wanted it to work but one of my favorite FM stations will not work. The station comes in fine with the Ford antenna.

I have tried stubby antennas in the past and I have found the same results. Cravenwood's literature convinced me that this might break my past experiences. It did not. I can't help but be reminded of Ham radio operators properties that have multiple antennas of varying sizes. Also the radio sites on top of our mountains.

Radio frequencies are like some women....size matters.
