TL;DR is that the attic trays are being cut and bent right now and they should be ready to be picked up this week. I’ll then take them to powder coat which should take another 10 days or so.

In the meantime, I did a quick video to give you more detail on the tray.

I like it! 👍👍

What do you think the load capacity will be?

Any issues with having a 2dr or 4dr?

Any chance getting it raw, not powder coated?

Would like to see it with the MIC top removed.

Thanks....

This looks great but I have a question. How much room do you have between your reaction boards (mounted on the bottom) and the roof in the back? It doesn’t look like there would be much room without taking the boards off like you show in the video.

The traction board bracket won’t fit a two door because the angle of the roll bar is different and it doesn’t have the same available nutserts to mount the bracket.
No idea on load capacity but they’re very durable 12ga steel.
I could probably hold one back from powder if you order early. I’ll dm you when I get it posted on the site.

It’s tight but manageable at about 3-3.5” of clearance

Would also like an estimated cost of the shelf.
Brackets are right at $200, kind of like to budget/plan/consider this option vs. the mid-mount tray from JCR.

Hey, looks nice! I looked at my 2dr and there is no way it would fit with the MIC top. I could see it working for 2dr that keep their top off for the season. Bracket may need to a little adjustment.

Good luck with it...

I'm waiting on the packing company to come back with pricing and shipping estimates, but as of right now, I estimate it to end up in the $300-325 range for the attic tray.

I'm not producing a ton of these as I'm waiting to see if there's much traction at that price point. The disadvantages of just an everyday forum lurker and Bronco owner manufacturing something in low volume in the US. Thankfully I have a day job, as I'm creating these for myself and just extending the product to the rest of you as reasonably as I can. :)

I think that's a very good price point, worth it! 🤞 🤞
