Painted 2021 Bronco Body Frames Captured! Mystery / New Color Spotted

Yeah I would prefer green be added before tan. I don't love the tan color from Toyota. Maybe it's because I'm a vet and all military vehicles are painted sand/tan now, so whenever I see that color on a normal civilian vehicle I cringe a bit and just think it's some military try-hard who can't get enough being tactical. And yes I understand this makes me a judgy a-hole haha.

Haha I just got back from a rotation in the sand box. I’m s USAF Firefighter and evening our fire engines are that sand color over there lol.

Maybe it makes me weird but it doesn’t stop me from liking the color. I would prefer a green though.

Using these for B&P tool makes sense but then we are looking at by October for B&P?

As someone else mentioned, these could be test shells for the paint process and are on their way to the crusher. Either way, they wouldn't be left out in the rain like this to be built later.

After some investigating, I believe I was able to narrow down the approximate location of these Bronco bodies based on where the light is hitting the Area 51 Bronco and its position relative to the blue water tower. Here is a satellite image of the Wayne Assembly Plant where I have marked where I believe these Bronco bodies are sitting. See if you can find something I did not.

Didn’t read through all pages to see if it’s been mentioned yet, but the “tan” color is likely just a body that’s been through the zinc-phosphate pretreatment coating (E-Coat). It’s the step that provides corrosion protection prior to paint application. Also, it is very common during commissioning of robot programming for new models to send a few bodies through and scrap them out. You don’t want to sell a test body to a customer if the programming isn’t validated yet. Food for thought.
