New Member and new Bronco owner / 2 DR Badlands Build

My ordered Bronco was likely never to get built.
Heck it really was not technically ever even accepted by Ford into the order bank.

My local dealer still could not even place my order in the order bank. I gave them the order last summer.

Anyway, as news came out recently that they were out of components again and it was sounding like even if they had put my order in, it would never gotten built with the all the high-end options I wanted.

I turned on some nationwide search alerts with Autotrader and Cars.com for a 2023 Bronco in the Spec I was after, finally got a hit this week, one 1200 miles away in VA. I went ahead and hit the online dealer check availability button. That VA dealer called about an hour later, it was really there, it was really available.
It was really in near identical spec to my order.

Anyway I am now an owner of a 2023 Ford Bronco 2dr Badlands.

Finally last week a few more popped up, most were dead ends but finally one that was really there and really available and really a 2 door in White, with the high-end Badlands LUX SAS spec that I was after. It all seems to be working out, I own it and with any luck I will finally have it in my garage by sometime tonight.

Good for you, and it is a sweet ride (the blackout on white looks so rad). There was a point where I thought I was crazy or Ford was gaslighting me ("Oh I'm sorry, you have an order with us?!?", you saw their ordering system...), or worse, hoping to mark the hell out of it on delivery ("So shiny! $20k over sticker! Bwahaha!").

It would've sucked to have to walk away, but I was prepared. Technically, was weary and ready for it to be over, but sames is sames in the sport of life. It was worth the wait for me, though. I love it.

Yea, I just skipped over any that had huge markups. The one I bought was not priced online.
I did use the dealer zip code and the Ford website to pull the window sticker.
They called me after I had sent an online enquirer saying good news, they have that vehicle, and it was available. I said so what's the bad news. What sort of crazy price you got on it. They hit me at 6k over, I said pass I was willing to pay a couple thousand over but nothing crazy like that.
They called back and took my offer.

Turned out I later did a build and price to check todays MSRP and the current MSRP was a couple grand higher than this one. So had my order gone into the system and it got build and delivered next month or at some point it would have been the same price I paid for this one based on the pre-price latest increased MSRP.

So, I was really happy about that aspect, even though it didn't really affect the price any.
Just the fact that a new order with an MSRP sales agreement would have basically been the same price anyway. I felt really pretty good about what I was getting it bought for at that point.

First surprise is that I noticed it has the cabin temp displays back in dials .
Really happy to see that.
I knew that was something most had lost do to the chip shortages.

I believe the $220 kit price was for all the grab handles not just the center one.

Was going to start looking into what was needed to get rid of the orange on the air vents next.

i bought them, and personally didn't like them so I kept the orange.

I hated every vinyl overlay I tired on the interior, from handles to airbag sticker blanks, so I kept the orange, polished all the bronco bolts, did the center handle delete/blank, and removed the airbag stickers with a lot of hard work to get the clean inside I wanted. I also have a black 2D so the orange contrasted better where i can see the what your going for with black and white.

What about just buying the vents for a base model. I think I saw where those were all black?
I too am a little iffy on even trying to hide the orange with decals.

Well she is now home safe and sound in the garage .

I haven’t looked into them, but the orange grew on me honestly. Being shadow black in color, my interior door accent is black with the marine gray seats it all contrasted nice

But you seem like a clean mod type of dude, I’d avoid the tacky vinyls for interior imho

First mod done !
New low profile bull bar installed .
Much cleaner look Imho .

Then got the dealer advertisement decals off, and installed the paper tag they sent in the glove box.

Any of you have the combination lock unlock pad know if that spot on above the last number supposed to be there or is that just a paint flaw ?

Looks like a reset button of some sort to me. I do not have this pad, so no idea if it’s not.
