Did You have any issues mounting them? I had to rearrange all the shims on mine and they still don't fir correctly. LF has 2 shims, LR has 4 but needs 2 more, RF has 4 but needs 2 more, RR has 5 on top/7 on bottom and needs 2 more for both

My awesome wife and kiddo picked me up some tube doors for Father’s Day. Got them mounted up today and went for a little cruise around.

I ordered my tube doors with my Badlands 4D. They look great but mounting them was a pain. The LF to used 2 shims and fits fine, The LR has 4 but needs 2 more. The RF has 4 shims but also needs 2 more. The RR has 5 on top and 7 on bottom and needs 2 more of each. My dealer is working with me but it is taking a while to get anywhere about it. Plus the lower door hinge block are welded on at an angle making me think they will shorten the life of the hinge. When I put the tube doors on, I have to mostly close them in order for it to fully drop down on the hinge so I can put the bolts in. Each washer is the thickness of 2 shims. Even with the extra shims, 3 of the 4 doors hit the end of the striker loop that is damaging the plastic part of the door latch's which is why they still need more. I have only had the doors on twice. Once when I installed them and went for a drive, the other was to show the dealer the issue.

That sucks, my rear passenger I had to add one shim top and bottom could maybe use one more as I damaged the plastic on it on initial install similar to yours. It is still a little tight opening and closing that door on the latch.

The other 3 went on and mounted up without a hitch. Hopefully yours get addressed and squared away so you can enjoy them.

Edited to add that I don’t recall how many shims were in each door from the factory I’ll have to look at that later. However the drivers front and rear and passenger front went on with no issues.

Any issues with the heat of the unit next to your nice blue paint? Also how easy is it to remove with the quick disconnect wiring? I’d plan to just hook it back up for dune trips and then leave it in my garage when I’m home. Lastly any video help for the wire routing?
It’s the same nice blue paint that is in the engine compartment. Heat is not an issue at all. It’s hot to the touch, it’s not going to torch your Bronco. I didn’t use the quick disconnect but I would assume it would make removal easy. It should work for your application. No video of routing. I ran it down within the passenger side wall panel, under the rear seat to the driver side, under both door sills to the firewall and into the engine bay. Pretty simple to do.

Perfect, I just thought it seemed closer to an exposed painted surface and have seen people ranting about heat from compressors πŸ˜‚. I figured it’d be safe, but was looking for someone with experience πŸ‘πŸ»

Rolling on bed liner to the new fiberglass AFC 8" fender liners.

Front liners, 2 coats done. Rear liners next.

Tomorrow, spraying the under (wheel) side of the liner.

Did the global close with Forescan. Oh, I am liking it now that I have finally gotten around to using it. :)

Had a busy and productive day today...

Slide out Tailgate - installed

KC HiLites Flex Era 4s - Installed Aux 3 mains (that's the 30A on Raptor) and Aux 6 for amber backlighting. Did some custom overlays on the KC covers to color match a little bit.

Who makes that mountain graphic?
That was me. Mocked it up on the computer, bought a roll of 3M matte black for about $60, printed the outline of each piece onto paper to use as a template, cut vinyl with blade and straight edge, applied each piece separately with soapy water and squeegee. Took awhile but was pretty simple and fulfilling. side photo

Took a 10-day overlanding trip, MN-SD-CO-UT-CA-AZ-MN. First camp Custer State Park in SD, herding goats. Stopped at the Badlands. Pretty windy drive across SD.

Headed south through WY into CO, to Carbondale, CO. Rained the whole way. Setup camp in the sprinkles. Next day set out across UT and NV, camping in Wendover, NV. Meeting up with my cousin in Markleeville, CA, in Toiyabe National Forest. Such a brutal drive, against the wind the whole way. Joined the cracked windshield group in Salt Lake City. Stopped at the Bonneville Salt Flats. That salt sticks to your car worse than snow.

Camped in Toiyabe National Forest in CA just south of Lake Tahoe, my cousin with his '22 Defender, and his great danes.

It was too dang windy to set up tents, so my attempt at sleeping in the back of my 2-door. I'm only 5'7" so diagonally worked. Had to have my cooler inside, just a couple nights ago my cousin had a black bear trying to get into his fridge.

Nice scenery the next day, heading towards Death Valley.

We wanted to head through Death Valley but the wind was so bad there was a constant dust storm, we decided to turn back.

Ended up finding a last minute campground just outside of Kingman, AZ for our last night. Phoenix was my destination, picked up my mom and headed back to MN.

Met up with a friend in Phoenix and his '23 Base-Squatch.

Bronco made the trip fun. Those that know of the 7mt scraping/grinding issue, mine got worse on my way back to MN. Typically I heard the scraping only during the winter months. Now I could hear it in the AZ heat. Now that I'm back in MN I haven't heard it at all. About a 4k mile trip, now have almost 29k on my Bronco. Gonna discuss my repair options with the dealer this week.

Can't wait to do another trip.

Rockpals 300w power supply.

I have a couple Xmas ornaments (trucks) dangling from the mic. Towards the front a couple pics of my son. To the left of my sons pics at the front is a good luck pendant he gave me β€œprotected by angels”. Did I miss anything?
