Blue ox says I have to use a baseplate to attach the tow bar. Why can’t I use this adapter and attach to modular bumper?

The loops on the Ford modular bumper are designed for flat towing. Those are exactly what I would use. Soounds like you need to talk to somebody else there

Because Blue Ox wants to sell you $300 fittings and a base plate. The Mod bumper will be more than capable for flat towing. We need someone to come up with a diode kit for a simple taillight solution and answers on braking kits.

Will pickup our OBX with the Modular bumper from the paint shop today and should have pictures of my Blue OX setup in few days.

I have not seen a speed or distance limit in the Ford Owners Manual.
