Did you replace the deflector with this? My brand new Heritage has a stone deflector so I’m looking to get a transmission skid plate as well
Yeah my heritage edition came with a stock rock deflector type of plate under the passenger side but I'm not a fan of how exposed the transmission pan is.. Will def look into getting oneBack in 21 I added a Aeroskin deflector. If that’s what you’re talking about. Definitely recommend getting a trans skid plate to button it up plastic pan takes a hit on the trail no Bueno.
Very nice!!!Did that too. Great folks to work with.
There might be a reason Ford offers skids for everything under the Bronco EXCEPT the transmission. I doubt it’s because the Ford engineers forgot about the transmission.I'm not a fan of how exposed the transmission pan is
Yeah, its called "Dealer Value Added" which is slang for the the "dealer to make money when you snag it on a rock and its not covered under warranty".There might be a reason Ford offers skids for everything under the Bronco EXCEPT the transmission. When you snag or hit the “plastic pan”Yeah, its called "Dealer Value Added" which is slang for the the "dealer to make money when you snag it on a rock and its not covered under warranty".
Is that ASFIR?Did that too. Great folks to work with.
Is that ASFIR?
I’m pretty sure it’s called heat dissipation. You probably don’t want your tranny overheating on the way to Starbucks.Yeah, its called "Dealer Value Added" which is slang for the the "dealer to make money when you snag it on a rock and its not covered under warranty".
FWIW, I’ve had a Asfir’s transmission skid for nearly 2 years. Trans temps have been fine on and off road, including trails in Utah in July and summers in GA. I think you’ll be fine idling the Starbucks drive-thruI’m pretty sure it’s called heat dissipation. You probably don’t want your tranny overheating on the way to Starbucks.
I’d say that closed & protected the Trans & cats real nice.
It looks like it bolts right up with the factory steel skid plats. Did you have to modify anything? Looks good. Thought you where losing ground clearance but after looking at the pictures its only about the thickness of the metal skid and it close to the angled cross member bars that seem to get bent easily an. Also does the sway bar disconnect work ok with this?I’d say that closed & protected the Trans & cats real nice.
