Exactly, do a cam and valve spring swap, raise the RPM, BOOM power.

A BTR cam swap with Brian Wolfe on the dyno made 643 HP!!!!!! Just a cam swap, everything else is stock.

Depending on where you plan to take the Bronco you may want to consider forced induction as there's a noticeable improvement at high altitudes. I know it won't be supercharged out the gate but that might be a good add.

I'd like to see someone dump 45k into a 3.0 at the same time and see which one lasts longer and makes more power.
There already are a few braptor owners running around with larger turbo upgrades and tune, and alternative fuel. I'm sure once the news is officially released they will post it here.

Anyone can make power with turbos, the key here is what will be more reliable for the use case? Lots of gear shifts off-roading , lots of
low end torque situations. Along with dumping 45k into a 3.0'one would need a new tranny to handle the power, and the biggest issue after that will be dealing with heat.

FWIW the juicy raptor swap referenced that is supercharged ran 9.xx quarter mile on 40s. (they took it to the track for shits and giggles)

Serious question, why? I know the answer is probably because you can. But when this is over it will cost you as much as a new Braptor I bet. Why not just tune the hell out of the stock 3.0. I bet you could get it over 750 HP for a small fraction of the cost.

If you have to ask you don't understand. Besides, your question has already been answered.

Why is the sky blue????? Why does an FE have 42's on it????? Why does someone take a new mustang and strip it down, weld in a cage and make a race car out of it.

One only has to look at the varied engines/drivetrain packages or complete builds for Jeeps from Americas Most Wanted to draw the conclusion that, in time, someone will be doing the same thing for Broncos. Me, I’ll sit back and wait until the bugs are worked out and multiple engine choices are available before jumping in. Replacing an entire bronco drivetrain at 150k or 200k miles with a V8 might make sense for me in five years.

I guess I’m different than many in that I like the technology and how it makes my life easier, in spite of it’s occasional issues.

Yeah maybe, but it's what I know, understand, and can work on.
There is something to be said for tired and true time tested designs.
Plus since it's been around for so long parts and the aftermarket is plentiful.
And it's a 107 year old design.
