I am not a drinker of any sort. Not even soda. Pretty much just water. So I decided to take the space in the back of my 2 door bronco that they advertise and a place to put ice and drinks, and turn it into the organized tie rod end recovery tool kit space. 2 different layers.

Nice job, but don’t forget the inner tie rod. That’s the one that breaks

Looks good, but mama said pickle forks are the devil. You need one of these.

Yes that looks much better than a pickle fork. What is the official term for that? And do you have a link of where to get it?

And here I thought I knew what I was getting. I have not broke a tie rod yet. Didn’t realize that it is the inner part that breaks. Guess I need to add that to my kit. 😳

Sold under several names, tie rod puller, ball joint separator, etc. Needs to be the deeper one like this, the shallow fixed arm versions are too short for Broncos.

I may steal your foam idea - that's really slick! My stuff right now is just packed in rolled up microfiber cloths that double for cleaning up dog yack...

It's not available, but the tools can be found elsewhere and would be far less than what he put in his kit. It was meant as a guideline on what to buy.
Thank you for the clarification, I will review his parts list and start shopping.

Great setup and storage of dedicated tools for this task!!

I too may copy your idea for a similar setup!
Mine currently has rags as well, some misc tools (probably duplicating others I have in a tool bag), and ... can't remember ... shoved into this area.

Oooh, I can smell some company looking at this for intellectual property theft and $$ making.
:unsure::wink:

Well other then the tie rod ends and the foam, I am not into it anything. The rest of the tools are extras I had in my garage.
