Bronco Ranger gets painted stripes.

I have had my bronco ranger for over 2 years now. I originally put the stripes on with vinyl because I wasn’t sure if it was going to look right. So I figured I could just take the vinyl off if I didn’t like it. Well after 2 years I decided to go ahead and take the vinyl off and paint them permanently on. I know it really doesn’t look any different between the 2. But I like the paint better because I can do more buffing without damaging to the vinyl.

In order to get the red pit strip, I had to paint the base red color, and then lay and stripped down, then paint the white over the top so that when I peeled the pinstripe off, it showed a red pinstripe like this picture

That looks awesome! How well did the vinyl hold up over the two years?

I tried doing Ranger style stripes on mine, but both shops I went to said the stripe angles would be really difficult especially where they transition from the body onto the fender flares.

Because of that, I ended up going with a vintage two-tone vinyl instead.

The vinyl actually held up great. I was just worried about it getting too dried out over the years. And wasn’t really able to buff the paint near the vinyl.
