My rig is a 2021 4D Badlands originally with Sasquatch. I swapped from factory wheels and tires to Method 703s with +35 offset, matching the ford performance ones, and falken wildpeak RT01s in 315/70R17. With this setup I started to hear a bit of rubbing every now and then but not enough for concern as the setup was performing amazingly well on the trail.

Recently I had ARB nitrochargers with medium rate springs fitted and I feel like the rubbing is now a bit more pronounced. I didnt anticipate rubbing at all here but I’d love some guidance on the best way to go about sorting this.

Not an expert. When does it rub? Turning or suspension stuffed? Turning only I would assume tires could be larger than stock. When stuffed I would assume suspension issue. Bump stop. Someone with more knowledge will chime in.

doesn’t happen on level pavement at full lock either way, mostly happens when compressed

The stock Goodyear 315/70/17' are small for that size and are closer to a 34" tire. Other brands of 315/70/17 run a little bit bigger so that could be part of the issue. What width are you Method wheels, stock is 8.5" wide so if they are 9" wide that could also be part of it. Do you have any pictures showing how your front end is sitting height wise, if it's lower than stock Sas then rubbing can occur.

The Methods are 8.5s. The truer size 35 was my initial assumption as well. The Territory MT is supposed to site 34.4" tall and the Falken sites at 34.6" at least based on the spec sheets.

I'm traveling for work this week, will get some pics when I land back in San Diego on Thursday. I'm dropping the Bronco off with Shift Autowerx to have a Hellwig stabilizer added on Friday so I'll see what their assessment is. I went with medium rate springs because I've got a winch in front and a bunch of overlanding shit in the back, to me that made a ton of sense and I'm overall extremely happy with the ride.

Edit: Also worth noting, the chosen suspension should have delivered 3/4" of lift over Sasquatch. So kinda scratching my head.

The solution will depend on where it actually rubs.
Provide the specific location it rubs and the condition and we can give you a solid solution.

On my Everglades the stock T MT @34psi measured out under 34” tall, and I could get rub at full stuff with front sway bar disconnected.

Rubbing the crash bar mounts or the fenders/liners? A more aggressive sidewall with more "squared" shoulders, along with the slight lift sucking in the tires a bit more, could be stacking your clearance tolerances.

Ok, so the wheels are actually tucked in 5 mm more than the stock Sas (30mm) so with the truer 315's (the Goodyears claim 34.4 but not really close to that when I measured my spare) it might be rubbing on the inside so either crash bars or possibly UCA's.

Mystery solved. I am hitting the thumb screws on the rokblokz mudflaps
My Mickey 35's rubbed on Weathertech mud flaps, but only after they got some miles on them. At least the mud flaps are easy to "fix"

If you run flaps with lower offset wheels, most of the flaps you see around arent going to work. I had the same issue with Mabett flaps. You will need the flattest flaps possible. I am in the process of making my own out of plastic but i'm too lazy so I may just run no flaps.

We designed ours to be as low profile in the fender wells as possible. Typically if you rub on ours then you’ll be rubbing the fender-liner. Broflaps.com / USA made. We only do flaps for Broncos.

I was gonna say, I put Maxxis Razr M/T's that are 34.8" x 13.2" and never rub (2dr SAS). So it makes sense it's rubbing something aftermarket, which I don't have anything. I was thinking maybe the UCA.

it not hitting the flaps themselves, just the quick removal thumbscrews. I'l replace those with buttonheads and see where i go from there.

turns out also, rokblokz acknowledges this issue and sells a kit to sort it out that looks nice. saves me a trip to the HW store.
