Yeah, The rust. New England winters and the salt they put on the roads eat aftermarket parts for lunch breakfast and dinner. I'd expect OEM fasteners to be made with a better finish. You'll note that you can't see rust anywhere else. If we're paying OEM pricing for an OEM part I don't think its unreasonable to expect OEM quality, and that means no rust
I agree with you. I lived up north (PA) 20 years ago. At that time, they started the brine pre-storm road treatment. It is a cancer that will eat cars/trucks. The rust on the Bronco fasteners isn't unique to this rig. It has been spied on others.

Hi All,

I made the trip out to Moab to check out the Bronco which definitely confirmed my decision to switch from a Wiltrak to a BUILT Badlands. Hope y'all enjoy the photos! IMO the MIC top is not bad at all I will be very happy with it over a painted top.

Could someone get a good picture of the rear tailgate handle?
just curious. Why? I am sure you are asking this for a reason.

The Rust? Keep in mind that these are trailored around from location to location. They aren't sitting out in the elements for months on end. Surprising to see with so little to exposure to the elements.
It looks like just the fastener, which means it was painted poorly or the installer boogered it up with the Torx bit. I am inclined to believe both are part of this....

So I'm curious. Why switch from a WT to a BL. Can't you just build the WT with the Outlander? I plan on adding roof rack and winch
The Wildtrak is less off-road capable and I’m not a fan of cloth seats. Just my opinion.

WT crappy interiors
I noticed when you build & price a WT the Bronco badge on the tailgate is black (or appears to be black), FE looks badge looks silver/chrome

I think the fact that I could get a badlands with a 2.7 and 10 speed SAS for a bit cheaper is what swayed me. Because at that point it’s the same as a Wildtrak plus having modular bumper, sway bar disconnect, vinyl interior and more.
And your build is the one of the few ways to get a full hero bar. Imagine looking at that empty switch slot, every day. ?

Great pics! I was there too and was glad to be able to see Area51 in person. I couldn’t get over how different it looked in the shade vs full sun. I wish there was a Cactus Grey there so I could see them side by side but will likely end up with Area51. Definitely getting Sasquatch package but deciding between BD and BL.
