Yes, that box. I haven't actually seen confirmation that is what it actually is. It seems like it also has the package in the rear view mirror unit like most cars. I assume it's a radar unit but the placement just seems so strange for this type of vehicle and I haven't seen confirmation anywhere yet.Are you talking about in the front? The radar unit for cruise control and emergency braking?
That box?
I mean, depends on what your definition of “confirmation” is.Yes, that box. I haven't actually seen confirmation that is what it actually is. That is still a bloody throw-up of hoses and tubes and wires. Here is a closeup of the box, it houses the radar sensor for adaptive cruise control and emergency braking.
I think the box is adaptive cruise only.. The AEB is from a camera by the mirror in the F150/Superduty..Are you talking about in the front? The radar unit for cruise control and emergency braking?
That box?
ADD and Road Armor both offer relocation brackets for their winch bumpers. They get hidden behind the grill. I don't know effective they are up there. One of those companies sells an extension harness.Wonder how much of a PITA it will be to relocate the ACC box to install a hidden winch bumper...maybe Lux package isn’t worth it if I have to deal with that headache

Here’s the Adaptive Cruise Control radar sensor unit on the Ranger:
The pre-collision camera-based sensors are what are up by the rear view mirror.
Two different technologies which work together for these systems to operate.
Finally an answer I can believe, folks were saying ACC, but many trims don't have ACC. All trims have active shutters, this makes sense. So blocking a bit with some accessory would be OK, but I believe that's also air intake for the intercooler, so that would have to be considered. The box also houses the motor and mechanism to open and close the AGS (Active Grille Shutters). The ACC system is an extra package that is not built in unless you have a Lux package.
So to answer you direct, yes the box is technically active lol
Assholes, jump in.
