Being married for 43 years I tested the brides limits many times in the earlier years. I recorded the reactions after every test, and the findings showed I was "just stupid" to do that shit. So, I now just mention things like the Bronco on rare occasions, or when there is something I think she may be interested in seeing. My life has become so much easier since I adopted that method.

My GF approached me the other day to inform me that it has been almost a year since I made my reservation. In that year there has not been a day that has gone by where I did not mention something about the Bronco, or show her some pic of a Bronco, or try to get her to watch a video, or something.

Although, she too is excited about the Bronco, she told me, very politely, to give it a rest.

Apparently I've given her enough information to last two life times.

Has anyone else's Significant Other threatened an intervention?

That was the plan. Then it got complicated with all the idiotic models, engines, seat colors, body colored flares. I couldn’t handle it and found myself picking out the Bronco I wanted. So I let her decide which just ended up being the Bronco I would have wanted lol.

Not quite, though she has occasionally dropped package names/ trim level pairings in conversations we've had - detail that I've found even evade allegedly trained sales people at dealers - and realized it's only because I've yammered on incessantly about it for months on end.

My wife actually asks me about updates.
"Any word on the production dates?"
"Have you figured which dealer you want it sent to?"
"You given any thought to a vanity plate?"
"Did you get the *______* feature?"

Perhaps reevaluate your choice in partner.
You dont need that negativity in your life.

My wife works with horses, we agreed that if I listen to her stories about horses, she would listen to stories about my horse. What she didn't realize, my horse was a horse of a different kind. She is a good sport about it though!

The catch on this is if you go the opposite way and never talk about it you are "keeping something from them" or "seem to be closed off"

Mine came with me to a Bronco dealer event today and approved the passenger seat, so I think I'm good. She's been encouraging when I've waffled about spending the money because I can be a cheap SOB.
