Ill jump in on the "he said, she said". My dealership told me the first "batch" of broncos are supposed to be dealer ONLY show models i.e the broncos the dealer gets to allow its customers to test drive and go over features and safety etc... if people truly are getting priority codes and receiving their broncos this early, that's absolutely awesome 100% but again that's what my dealer is being told because he said they have a bronco test mule coming first and when it arrives, the dealer will call all the reservation/order holders to come and drive/features etc. This isn't a bronco that bronco nation has been driving around the country and its only there for a day or 2. It's a dealer specific build that they don't know what exactly the specs are but it's coming in for the dealership ONLY, meaning they can't just sell it. Technically speaking a dealership can't sell you a vehicle they know nothing about. The dealership needs hands on training with any new vehicle they get to be aware of all its features and how to use them otherwise someone could turn around after breaking the vehicle and say "I had no idea what that button did, the dealership never told me". Yes I know "just read the manual" and youre not wrong but cmon it's the 21st century, not everyone reads it and would rather test their luck with a lawsuit. Anyway I hope this helps and wasn't too confusing. Just to add, im a day 1 reservation hold, first day build order and number 1 allocation at my dealership. 2 door WT, CO. Still no update on a build date.

Just got off a call from my dealership. They called me! (First time for everything) They advised me that Ford is telling them that I'm going to be a June build!!!

I don't mind telling you that my heart beat went up a couple of beats as I felt the excitement, but then thought of this forum and all the dealers that have passed on mis-information. So i'm trying my best to temper my excitement.

If true, I would assume if I'm a June build, I will see my Bronco 2 months after, so say August?

I hope it's true.

Updated with more info: I was a July 17th reservation, I've never seen a time stamp. I ordered January 20th.
If you are for real - I am so very happy for you! If you are a troll - go pound sand.

Too much to read through so might've been asked already but does this mean that things are happening right now instead of the timeline we originally thought? May 3rd production start, late May emails go out with estimated delivery date, etc.

I know they were starting to build mannequins and demo units but May 3rd was retail production start day right? Did that change? Did they just start retail production early? What about the "we'll notify customers of their estimated delivery date in late May" that Ford said. Is that happening right now instead of late May?

Or is all this stuff that's happening now just mannequins and demo units and the emails people are getting are because they got those priority builds?

In general, when should people expect to get their estimated build or delivery date email from Ford? Is everyone getting one this week or just like those 3k priority build people?

Definitely the opposite of complaining if things got moved up. Just not sure how much excitement I should have lol am I gonna get an email this week or late May?

Res 7/16
Several people on here noted yesterday that they got calls from their dealers letting them know they were in the first round of builds which sounds like they might start building them late May, in to June. It has also been stated by several people that e-mails are supposed to be starting to go out today, April 15th about when your build might be taking place. I would doubt that everyone will get e-mails from Ford today, maybe just those in the first build wave. For instance, my dealer is getting 6 vehicles built for customers in this first quarter wave. One of the people on here that remarked they received a call about their build yesterday was a 7/17 reservation date, not to get you too excited. Combo of dealer allotment, time stamp and build obviously.

Disclaimer: Don't quote me on any of this.

"It is being built the last week of May"

You probably missed that part of my post. Dealer demos aren't being built until May, then they need to be shipped all over. It will likely be June before I physically have my dealer demo here.

Although the couple grand in savings was tempting, I had a feeling the amount of transfers would create a longer wait time.

How would the service scenario from a local dealer play out, whom I ditched in an effort to save some money?

Stoked to see members getting ready to go through the process!
I don’t see the local dealer’s service department having any problem taking money from someone who bought a car elsewhere.

I did stay at crossroads/ MSRP because I was a day two res, and first third in allocation.

Yes, actual members getting actual Broncos, who we can then pester for actual details is exciting.

Most of this is incorrect.

The arrival of the "Dealer demo" or "mannequin" units (being built in may, and they know exactly what model/color/specs they are getting by now) will likely happen as the June reservation builds are in production. Reservation holders being able to see and touch them at that point will make no difference to their orders because it will be too late for them to make changes to their orders at that point.

It looks like when they planned demo production for May they had leftover space, which is why the they offered some dealers "advance" production of reservation orders.

Technically speaking, yes, a dealership can certainly pre-sell you a vehicle they don't know the functions of the buttons for. They aren't required to have "hands on" training in order to deliver the vehicle to you either.

See that was also my thinking in regards to the demo broncos my dealer was talking about. I already have my order locked in so I can't change it and getting hands on experience wouldn't change that. Again I'm just going off what my dealer told me (which has been all over the forums lately) just figured I'd jump in on it lol. But thank you for clarifying a bit. But also yeah, I've yet to buy a car that they physically go over all the tech and features, its more like here the window sticker that shows you what you have and good luck.

Awesome! This is my exact build and I was a July 14th reservation. I know there are a lot of variables, but this gives me hope based on the parts availability to get yours done. My dealership is horrible however, so I probably won't know it's in production until Ford tells me. I asked how many orders they had vs. allocations and where I fell. They didn't even know what I was talking about or are playing dumb. (Wisconsin)

I think you will be on the first wave orders to
Go out. How has riverside been as a dealer so far?
At first, not good at all. I actually had me FE reservation with Stivers in AL. I received a link directly from them to access the reservation site on reveal night. Their communication was abhorrent and after multiple attempts at trying to get information from them I decided to move.

My Wildtrak 2dr was with Riverside so I contacted them as well as a couple of other out of state dealers about moving my FE. After four calls asking about reservation number and allocation, being told someone would return my calls only to wait, I finally got ahold of Donna. She was great and set me up with all the information. Since then I’ve worked directly with the sales manager who’s also Bronco “specialist”. Been better with exception of recently when this new build date info dropped. They haven’t produced much feedback to my questions. Still hopeful I’ll have some updates soon!

How’s it been with your experience?

I seen in your profile your from jenks? I live in bixby/BA. Did you go through Bill knight? They told me I was in the first 20.
The Northeast Oklahoma gang! I went with Fowler as I have a 4Runner and use Fowler Toyota for service and they have been great. On the Ford side, young salesman and the mysterious Sales Manager that has never came out of the office when I have been there.

Asked for where I was in allocation and they did not have that yet. Went ahead and stayed Mod Top so maybe I'll come see that FE in Jenks!

I hate to hear that. We also have a 4 door BadSquatch ordered and they have no news on its build date.
At some point we will see them and then maybe a Bronco cruise!
