How worried should we be about the hard top shortage?

4dr Badlands
Cactus Grey
Hard Top
Mid package
2.3 and 10 Speed

I received my Vin and build week of 6/28 via email on 4/22

I keep hearing about the shortage and would be totally willing to switch to soft top, however I know that with the delays my build us the possibility of getting delayed.

If we have an official build estimate is there any reason to worry?

doesn't matter anyway. If you received your vin you can't make changes. You are stuck with what you got. The fact that you got a vin means it will be built, but that doesn't mean they won't push your date like they have already to others

I’m pretty sure if they assigned you a VIN they already set the parts aside to build your order. That’s the whole point of scheduling.

Once again talking a vin holder off the ledge when they don’t even know how fortunate they are. Akin to a 1%er pinging over the windshield chip in his Bugatti Veyron. I can’t wait to worry about if and when my build date gets pushed back.

I promise I’m not complaining at all!

More nervous than anything, Day 2 early AM reservation. Almost everything I know so far is from this forum. My dealer has been absolutely useless so far, so I didn’t know if anyone here knew more than they did.

Don’t worry. It won’t do any good.
And yeah, we know you weren’t complaining, just asking a question. Since you have a vin#, you are the enemy to a select few.

Most of us are as useless as your dealer... lol
I sent an email asking if anything had changed from the original email(I saw that some build weeks were getting pushed back). My dealer’s Bronco specialist called me out of excitement because they didn’t even know that build dates were being scheduled yet….so you never know!

I retract my previous comment... and add that you should have found a better dealer... lol
I had three to choose from in Charlotte, NC, but these guys promised that they wouldn’t charge anything over MSRP, so as useless as they are, at least I’m not getting ripped off?

I would’ve gone with Stephen’s or possibly Grainger, but as crazy as work has been recently I wasn’t sure I could take the time off to organize flights and a road trip home

Not that it matters now... but yeah, you could’ve gotten under MSRP from a couple of dealers here. Pennsylvania wouldn’t have been as bad a trip for you as it is for me from Bama.
