First Week of Non-First Edition Bronco Previews – A Sample of What’s Getting Previewed

Wait so 1 SAS out of 25?

No WT (or FE ) this week either. Maybe they burned through Sasquatch parts getting those FE's scheduled last week. It may be hard to get a Sas until all the FE's are built.

For those who haven't seen, Ford is planning on running their scheduling cadence as follows:

1st Week of Scheduling - First Edition Scheduling
2nd Week of Scheduling - Non First Edition Scheduling
Remaining Weeks - Clean up of Non FE Scheduling (schedules those that didn't get a schedule date in week 2)

This cadence will repeat on a monthly basis. Last week (April 11th-17th) was the run of First Editions. We had allocation for 1 (we have over 50 reservations for FE) and it was our first timestamp that was scheduled. This week we have 25 Non-FEs that are Previewing for scheduling. They started to preview this morning, but this should give you a good sample size of what is/will schedule and where the restrictions are for the first month. This can/will change on a monthly basis. This is just what is scheduling for the first run. It should give you a good idea on bottlenecks.

Seems there is a lot of confusion about FE. Many think they are FB (First Built). Theoretically, there are many non-FE timestamps in front of FEs... assuming timestamp is the end all, be all... but we know that isn't true.

My two cents.
First Edition was more of a “Limited Edition”.
All the bells and whistles and we’re only making 3,500 ... er ... 7,000.

It was not a “we’re going to make yours first” Edition.

My account still looks no different than it did pre-scheduling (at least the order/reservation page). I did add the VIN manually to my garage, though.

I'm a 4 door Big Bend, 2.3L Auto, Mid Package, Signature Lighting, MIC Hard Top, Cactus Gray exterior, Black Onyx and Dark Space Gray interior.

Ross, any insight into what appears to be a major shortage in the Sasquatch tires? I'm a little shocked only 1 sasquatch was being made out of Granger's list.

Ya'll bagging on FE buyers whom are disappointed must be forgetting that we have to wait for 3 more scheduling periods before it's our turn. Folks well beyond first 30 min orders will be scheduled during those weeks. It's a timestamp thing, not an FE thing. If I remember correctly you most of you were also disappointed when you didn't get scheduled either because you had an "early timestamp".

I believe FE'S are In the mix the other three weeks also, just not prioritized to only/mostly FE'S.

We are seeing the effect of commodity constraints in normal production scheduling. I bet a large number of the Priority orders had SAS plus all the FE’s scheduled consumed SAS commodity availability and they are scheduling around that until they can establish a more balanced mix.

joking aside we’re all clamoring for details and it really doesn’t mean much. With summer approaching we all probably just want the chance to get off the computer and get out and do awesome stuff with our Broncos
