Best thread yet, lol. I hate to admit this but I couldn't agree more. I spent 30 years drinking cheap beer and every time I tried an IPA I would spit it out and say why would any one drink something that tasted like this. Then 5 or six years ago I finally started appreciating the taste and now I can't drink the cheap stuff. I could never drink Bud Light though. My brain always told me that it tasted just like Elmer's glue for some reason. Grant's Farm and the Anheusur-Busch brewery tour is definitely worth the experience if you ever visit St. Louis. We have some amazing Independent breweries in the area as well. So, glad I like taste filled beers now so that I can enjoy all of the brew-pub experiences around town.

Nothing better than driving around to local breweries. Even their bad beer is better than the mass produced stuff.

Love all kinds of beers really. Favorite are from the breweries Shiner, Rough Diamond, Altstadt, and Real Ale (LOL all Texan of course). But do love trying other beers when I go to places all over the US!

Lagunitas IPA because it was started across the road from me and it’s delicious! But I’m really a cocktail girl. Oh, and I live on a street that’s either a beer or a wicked virus. Go!

I took a work trip to Switzerland a few years ago, and did a big bbq with my coworkers there. Went shopping for meat and supplies, and of all things at this swiss version of a Costco, there was a single case of lagunitas IPA mixed in with all the other (quite shitty) local swiss beer. For a single 24pk, it was about 85CHF ($95). I bought it with glee and enjoyed a taste of home the whole time

Amberbock all the way... but only out of a tap (can't drink it out of a bottle). Otherwise it's Yuengling.

I checked off Hefeweizen because it used to be my favourite. Sadly, I have developed an extreme intolerance to gluten; so I can’t handle any but completely gluten free beers. I picked up some “Glutenburg” white for the weekend; and it ain’t half bad.... But if anyone else is in the same boat and knows of a good gluten free “wheat” beer, please let me know!
