Well plenty of folks in my neck of the woods think beer is a terrible idea and should disappear.

Does that help?
Really? Like, legal drug type of mindset?

I get drug tested at work, so I can’t smoke weed.

if I could smoke weed responsibly and not drink, it would be healthier but ooooh wellll I’m raping my liver right now...

For those going through VT on their way to the Bronco Off roadeo, definitely take some time to check out the beers up there. One of my favorites (available in MA) is Conehead IPA. Portland, Me also has some good breweries.

Anybody here aware Boston Beer Co stock price is more than Apple? Yeah yeah, “splits”... still, who woulda thought?
Share price means literally nothing without considering # of shares…

Never order draft beer in Utah. Bonus is bottles/cans tend to be much fresher than elsewhere as a result

Near beer?
We used to have “watered down” beer at 3.2 but they changed law and we now have big boy beer at non liquor store outlets.

We always joked it was coldest beer in country with all the water in it:)

I’ve traveled to most states in union and to this day the toughest beer to get hands on was PA. Wtf is a “Beer Distributor”??

I'm Bavarian and grew up on Erdinger, Schneider and Weihenstephan (oldest brewery in the world and a beautiful place to visit!) Wheat Beer, and those are still my fav and I'm glad I can find them at BevMo here and sometimes even get Weihenstephan at Safeway. Expensive, so not a every day thing unfortunately.
Can't stand IPAs at all, had a Pliny the (which ever the more rare is) once and it took an other 3 beers to get that over hopped taste out of my mouth, LOL. Yuck.

My go to currently is the black 805, also like Kona Longboard, but shelves are mostly IPAs or crap mass produced hogwash from the 'big' brands, so my choices are limited.

Also like red ales, Fort Point Brewery in SF makes a great one similar to a red ale from Nuremberg (next to my home town) called Westfalia, really good. Most of their brews are quite tasty too.

A stout is nice once in a while, but I haven't had one in a long time.

I love sours and I'm not even a hipster!
I’m hooked on them. My favorite is Monks Cafe which is a Flanders red followed by Rodenbach Alexander which is a cherry Flanders. IMO these classic Flanders beat all the newcomers but I try just about every sour I can identify as a sour. Oh, Thin Man Minkey Boodle is probably #3 which is a raspberry sour and the one that actually introduced me to sours.

As far as Abbey beers go my favorite is St Bernardus abt 12 which is a quadruple followed by Rochefort 10.

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is great.

Crave s Guinness once in a while, especially in March. Love experimenting with various half and halfs. Guinness was my first beer in a pub that wasn’t a regular plain beer many moons ago. Before the Guinness I thought good beer was Molson Canadian or XXX. I remember it well.
