Dealers received an email from Ford stating that:

"Deadline Extended! Soft Top with Hardtop Prep Kit order conversion encouraged by July 23."

What do you make of that?

Thanks.

I’m sure they want as many people to switch. Even if they hit whatever target they set for themselves, the more the better.

This whole fiasco is going to make an interesting Harvard Business Review case study someday. So many bad decisions and wrong turns to unpack… and the story isn’t even close to being finished yet.

I refuse! If I wanted a soft top I’d buy a real convertible. And probably be cheaper. I will not sacrifice what I want and spend $55k for something that isn’t exactly what I want. I’ve had a VIN since April….so build it don’t build it, but I will not change it.

I really think the HardTop is a huge PIA with Webasto and Covid. I would go soft top and 22-23 hardtops will be better selection, color, and refinements by then. I'm sure the hard tops now are just fine, but I wouldn't be surprised if they get even better.
