Here is the email I just sent:

Dear Mr. Hackett,

First, let me congratulate you on a very successful Bronco launch. This will make my fifth Ford and I can not tell you how excited I am to bring this vehicle home. I reserved my Bronco First Edition within the first hour of reservations opening and, even with the doubling of the quantity Ford will produce, I remain excited with one exception, the interior.

There are a lot of concerns amongst us future First Edition owners that we will be paying a premium, but have no choice but Navy Pier for the interior. Although this color might be acceptable to some customers, my personal feeling is that does not coordinate with the vehicle well, lacks a level of uniqueness for this price point, does not fit with the "Bronco" culture you are attempting to create, and will not be the head-turner that a special edition should be.

Personally, when I look at the interior you posted at launch and on Bronco Nation, I believe that that is the appropriate interior for this vehicle and would like the opportunity to have this, or something similar, in my Bronco so I can appropriately brag about my Ford product, thus increasing Ford's potential Bronco sales (looking for a win-win).

It is my sincerest hope that you have already looked at this matter and will be offering the same number of interior options as you are offering paint offerings to allow the Bronco First Edition owners the ability to choose something that excites them and excites all those that see the First Edition.

Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.

Sincerely and respectfully,

Robert XXXXX

Nice message. May have to craft one as well. I don't mind the bluedeath like others due, but I agree on all your other points. I may add a request for a MD flag inlay behind the grill too.

What did you say?
My disappointment is only because of the horrid Navy Blue interior that I seem to be restricted to... Offer the choice of getting a black / roast interior and I will keep my reservation.

Honestly, the First edition should have unique exterior colors not available on other trims when you think about it. They could still have four paint choices, but ones that are not in any of the other 6 trims!

Example: Filson Green, Grabber Blue, etc.

Wasn't anyone aware of the color when they reserved? While it's not my favorite, I'd be OK with it. Solid black would be my first choice.
In my case no. I do not recall there being a discussion on "Navy Pier" only until AFTER the launch. Might be my bad, but from what I see on the message boards, there are a lot of people like me.

Ford - if you want to give all these First Editions some value better have them all autographed by Kenny Rogers (from the first First Edition) - oops that is not going to happen.
Maybe Robert Taylor aka Walt Longmire. Now that would be cool a Longmire Edition.

It is too bad the numbers are capped, however I'll be happy getting a WildTrak upgraded regardless.

i too emailed Mr Hackett and wasn't nearly as professional as you-- however, i did express my displeasure.
Well. Chalk my professionalism up to the military. Can't tell you how many times I used the word "respectfully" and "for your consideration and action" in my 25 years when I really meant "Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot".

I doubt Ford will be concerned about FE cancallations because they know the dealers will be clamoring for them to put on their lots sooner.

I plan on getting a Badlands but I actually like the Navy seats in the FE.

I will just summarize a bit:

The First Edition Bronco Sport has the same navy pier interior and the same, limited, four exterior color choices.

In the leaked JSON last night as well from 72roadster, the navy pier interior was the only interior available.
This is the interior picture that shows when you look at the Outer Banks model (of the Bronco Sport):

Hey! We will likely see each other's FE! We will have to coordinate times at Costco. LOL.

That would be awesome for you - and that was what I expected at first when the FE rumors were flying around.

I would be SO disappointed if a color I really wanted became available.

Right now, my choices for color are:
Hell no.
Probably not.
I guess so.

My intention is in 10-12 years, when the crappy Ford paint fades - get it all repainted with a color I really want.
