My apologies if it sounded confusing. The commercial shows the 2d with the top on side windows attached but also shows it with the top removed and no side windows. So in response the gentleman that asked if it was the molded top bc it did look painted I mentioned it should be the modular top bc the side glass can be removed.

Ford really needs to get some information out on this:

a) 2dr MIC includes:
- front two t-tops (known as freedom panels in Jeep World.
- a back section which includes the side windows and rear opening top window.

that entire back section comes off as one big piece like this:

The shadow black or body color painted modular top has:

-an extra gunner hatch in the middle of the rear part
- removable rear side windows

The removable side windows haven‘t been pictured off yet on a two door because the production tops haven’t been made yet.

Confused!! So what do we get for the $1900 modular top with the exception that its painted black? If that the windows come off, who would ride with them like that instead of taking them off completely.

It's painted black (or body color) and has removable windows. That's it.

As for removing the windows, it's something you can do on the spot if you want it a little more open-air. To remove the top, you need two people and a place to store it.

Wow not worth it in my opinion. Gonna go with wrap instead. Want black top but not for $1900. Thx for straightening that out for me.

Sound dampening seems to be an option on both hard tops. The modular is heavier, though, yes.

We do not yet know if a vinyl wrap will stick to this surface.

We do know for sure that vinyl wrap will stick to the painted hard top.

Yep, that works. I used to follow this guy on youtube who painted his wrangler sport top to match and it came out really well. Biggest mistake anyone could make is trying to plastidip it. One goof and you have to start all over.
