We get a parking pass for Corolla Beach with the house, Carova is south I believe. Is that part of the Park?

For those of you with a 2 door, do you remove your entire top or do you find that, with the front panels, gunner's hatch and rear windows removed, it's sufficient?

Had the tops off, gunner's panel and windows out - pretty cool. Lots of wind passage. I feel its quieter ride with the gunner's top and front pieces out. Removing the side windows adds more noise. I still want to pull off the whole top, but will wait until spring as we are getting colder here in New England.

Carova is north of Corolla, past where the road ends. Most houses in the 4WD area will come with parking passes. You don't need it to drive on the beach, but need it to park. It gets a little crazy up there in season.

You can buy a pass from the US Park Service that gets you driving access to the Hatteras Island beaches.

@Clump is correct. if you are renting in the 4x4 area you should get 2 passes with the rental.

At the Outer Banks and got her out in the sand. She did great. I used sand mode, but turned the rear locker off. Aired down to about 20 PSI. Been quite a few years since I had a manual in the sand.

Today marks day 120 since ours went into production. If the strike is truly over maybe Christmas but I'm not going to hold my breath.
