It had some issues already when they gave it to me to start the day. But that obstacle did it in. Either way, still got over it with just left foot braking.

Yes. It’s a great road. The Needles district of Canyonlands is about an hour from Moab. The road is permit only and limited to 20 “day permits” per day, although if you are camping and have a multi-day permit, this will give you access, as well. You will need an early start. I recommend taking the outbound route to Chesler

Park, where you can eat lunch and take a great hike of Chesler Park and the Joint Trail (~5 miles). On the return trip, drive to the overlook of the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers. It’s a full day, but quite fulfilling in not only its beauty, but also its solitude.
