A friend is ordering the Infotainment 12" screen upgrade for her '22 Black Diamond and we aren't sure which dash bezel to order. The Bronco has the black dash bezel in it from the factory but we are trying to figure out what the "Dark Molten Metal" dash trim color looks like. Anyone have a good picture of that color trim or know what that color equates to in Ford colors or Bronco trim it comes from?

They have a picture of the Molten Metal trim piece on their site but its a crappy picture and kind of looks like it has a bronze tint to it but might just be the bad photo. My Big Bend has a grayish trim piece which is darker so their bezel isn't from that trim. I would think it has to be an OEM bezel and color and they didn't just have a custom Bezel made for this kit.

appreciate any info anyone might have!

Dark molten metal is for the roast interior, it does have a bronze tint to it:

Is the 12” upgrade available from Fird? I have a 23 Big Bend and would like the larger screen. Is there a part number for the kit or do you have to piece it together?

There's a post around here somewhere where the guy who did it lays it all out. Just have to dig for it.

You have to piece it all together.

I've considered doing this, has anyone actually done it? I know they say the install is a 4 out of 5, but it doesn't seem like it should be that hard?

WACOBronc did it to their HE

Installed a big upgrade to my ‘23. I’m very pleased with the change. I think it makes the interior look much nicer. Not to mention the picture quality of the screen is much better.

The kit is from infotainment minus the dash bezel. I spent a lot of time on the phone with dealers to try and order the correct 12 in. white dash. I finally found someone to help and put an order in. 3 months of being in back order status and it finally came in.

Have you had any issues with the new screen after the install? I am hoping its a pretty bug free update.

I was one of the first customers to purchase the upgrade. The original harness adapter was huge and I had a hard time stuffing it all in the tiny space. I had an issue where the screen would go dark for a few seconds and come back. They sent me a much smaller harness that connects to the display and works off the power from the switches in the middle of the dash.

Have any issues after the new harness was put in? Hopefully they ship the kit with the new smaller one.

Im thinking about ordering this kit. My bronco has the mid package with Nav. Can someone tell me if I will need to do any programming or is it plug and play? Ive searched and cant find it. Also, I found another upgrade kit for $1999. Has anyone tried this one? Thanks in advance!

We are having this done on our '22 Black Diamond with Mid Package. I am having a stereo shop do it, they sent the VIN to Infotainment and they will program the unit to match the specs of the truck. It does sound like there are separate steps to get the onboard NAV set up but I am not having that piece done. Basically it is fully plug and play.
