If you keep your Bronco long enough Ford will eventually through perpetual law suits recall the tops and install painted MOD tops. The longer they string it out the fewer tops they have to replace. In the meantime, why they don’t simply stop selling the MIC top is beyond my comprehension.

How am I only one who realizes this is an advertisement?
Given I've already had my MIC top replaced (less than 4 months into owning a brand new Bronco), I'm interested. And if he succeeds, I'll be looking to be a customer. So if it's an advertisement, I'm here for it.

Thank you for that great write up for anyone considering going with a wrap on the MIC top.

But here’s the honest truth:

I don’t know how long it will last.
3+ years and mine looks great. I did mine for a color change. At this point, I’m not worried about premature failure of the wrap. For those who off-road where contact with trees and shrubs is likely, damage could be an issue. I think for the wrap overall will last as long as it would on other body parts.

I don't see this as an advertisement. Greg probably should have linked his original post where he asks for the community's advice on his HT issue. This is just the follow-up and he is detailing what he did so he didn't have a kaleidoscope of mismatched panels.
Bravo Greg!
This is what entrepreneurs do. They see an issue in the market, say "That needs a solution. Why not me? I can do it well." And they put it out there. "Here is what I can do for you. Get in touch and I will solve your problem." That is what makes our country great, not all the finger pointing BS. We excel when we join together. Always!

This is why I'm leaning towards a LineX type solution.

Definitely an advertisement. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I'm curious to see how this actually holds up and curious if the OP will keep this thread updated with honest progress pics and assessmemts.

As for me, I'm going the Line-X route in a year or so.

Not an advertisement. Believe me when I say, I do not want to wrap these tops. Pay me enough, and i'm sure I would with the contigency that I would never warranty it. I stand behind our products and my work, but no way this can last. This is simply a long explanation of what happened and how I chose to keep my sanity, giving me the opportunity to serve those who have asked for years about wrapping these tops.

Thank you.
I'm glad you are being forthcoming about this and how it really isn't a viable long-term option. Definitely keep us all posted on how it holds up though.

Looks great!
Customer service in the auto industry sucks. I haven't had great experiences with Ford in recent years, with the F-150 and Explorers. I shopped the Wrangler and the local Jeep/Dodge dealer service dept. had price gouged us with our 3500 work truck. But I got a great deal on my Bronco, so I went with it, and I have been happy so far.

wrapped my Black Diamond for the color change. It’s a 2022 and holding up well. Although I am curious how the top is holding up.

Hard to tell in the pictures, but how noticeable is the texture after the wrap? Or did you eliminate the texture in your prep work? Do you think the results would be just as good had you used a gloss wrap?
