Try as I might.... I cannot figure out how that physically happened.
The position and angle are so strange.
I have to ask - What happened?
I stared at it for a little bit, and I just assumed that he slipped off of a wood bridge.

I have a playlist of the entire trip...
The last 2 episodes are the 'event' and the recovery.
I still don't know how it actually came off the bridge...having 2 wheels off shouldn't have ended this way.

Thanks and all I can say is man Im sorry that happened.
And that is actually a good lesson. I would never have thought that you dropping a tire lightly on that would have resulted in the accident shown. I will defiantly be more mindful of my front balance after watching this.

I was changing my oil after a long day at work. It was raining outside, so I was half in the garage. I typically don't put it on Ramps or jack it up when changing the oil. I usually just pull half way out of the garage so the bronco front end is slightly higher. Also I have the ronin plug which makes it nice.

Now that you have some context......

Took the oil filter out. Got distracted by wife and daughter and dog, then got back to the bronco and realized I wasn't quite far back enough in the garage. Soooo....

You guessed it, my dumbass started the rig without the oil filter in. I only had it running for like 3 seconds, but oil was everywhere.

A Bunch of brake cleaner, kitty litter, dawn dish soap; along with frowns from the wife......and now all is good.

I thought for sure we would have at least one "Paid ADM" comment 🤔
My dealer tried that this past December. Tried to tell me standard production HE was super rare, limited edition etc. Got it for under MSRP so basically about a $15K difference from their initial claimed sales price.

And then a few days ago I forgot to put my foot on the brake to put it in gear...

Driving into a muddy clay hole as deep as my tires. Quite the learning moment

To whoever owns this Bronco, sorry if you're still cleaning it out years later, no matter how long I stayed spraying it out the muddy water would return.

about 5 weeks into owning my Bronco, still 100% bone stock, I decided to go "offroading" really quick in between a wedding rehearsal & the grooms bachelor party, which was just going to be poker & beers/dinner at my place, the night before the wedding.
I took all 3 of his groomsmen with me, in 3 vehicles total.
We basically were just driving down a logging road on a leased hunting property & wanted to see what the Bronco could do.
Got out onto the natural gas pipeline & thought it would be fun to cross the creek.
Zero issues there.

Crossed the creek, drove up the hill on the other side of the gas line, again, zero issues.

Here's where things get fun.
Sun is starting to set (Feb in PA).
We decide it's time to head home.
Unfortunately, there's just enough mud on the bottom of hill to create an issue.
Fortunately, my brother was smart enough to not drive his Tacoma to the bottom. After about 30 minutes of screwing around, we make the decision to leave in the Tacoma, go get his F350, buy a HF Winch & hitch mount real quick & come back.
We do that, get back & the F350 is sliding in a way that we realize we're about to have 3 rigs stuck at the bottom.
So we start leaving in the F350 & need the winch to get it out, from the top.
After we winch it a bit, I realize the front tires aren't spinning - my brother forgot to lock his hubs in & the vacuum system was not working.

At this point, it's like 10 o clock, the groom is pissed, so we just leave the rigs at the bottom.
Saturday is a full schedule - breakfast plans, wedding photos, ceremony/reception etc.

So the rigs sit there until Sunday morning.
We go back in again, armed with an F350, a winch, locked in 4x4, 160' of strap, everything we could need.
We walk down to the Bronco & Tundra......and simply drive out, because the ground had frozen enough in that two days that what was a sheet of slick mud on Friday was now rock solid lol.

So the lesson learned is that mud doesn't care about your diff locks, 35s, or whatever else you have. It's the great equalizer. And also that 10 degrees of temp can make a huge difference.

Before I had my Bronco I had a Bronco Sport and was on that forum. This picture was all over the place when this happened! It was one of the things that really made me want a full size Bronco because I was like idk what this man was doing to end up like this but I know it was fun. (I hope no one was harmed in this predicament..)

Not keeping my driver window up when I was rear ended, totaling g6 #1.

Reason: After face planting the steering wheel i was bleeding out the nose. Fireman Lance (ill never forget his name) ran up to the driver door. Reached in. Grabbed my nose, shook it, and said," Nope, not broken."

Lesson learned.

Two weeks ago my wife while backing out of the garage cleared the mirror, but started to turn and used the garage pillar like a can opener on the bumper. $185 to bend the garage track back in place and $1,700 in bumper damage.
Currently the dumbest thing I've done is not pull in full before closing the garage door as I forget about space for the spare. Just bounces off the tire cover with no damage done.
So far nothing extremely stupid.

My most recent dumb thing I have done in my bronco was when I was parked on a hill. I start the bronco up no problem and wait for the rpms to drop then put it in drive and wonder why I am not going….. well I later found out I still had the parking brake on 🤦‍♂️
For manual transmission the parking brake automatically disengages in forward or reverse. I learned this on the forum and LOVE it as I can never remember which way the handle goes and I only need to know when I part not when I go. I'm a lot more patient parking than leaving a spot.

Taking mental notes because so many think big tires + lockers = invincible.

When I come to a water crossing, or mud hole, unless I know for sure how deep it is - no way! And a slick muddy hill? eesh.
