Thanks to all.
Great info.
So stay away from '21 and '22 builds ??
A Wildtrak would work fine. (avoid funcky interior)
Can add e sway disconnect later.
Could upgrade billys to fox, icon or kings etc later.G
Get 12" its an option on '23 s

I have a fall 22 build and mostly great.

Get a 22 or higher Badlands, Lux, hard top, Sasquatch, Modular Bumper, AUX, Tow. Simple build from that starting point. It’s a black interior with orange accents and It’s probably the least jarring of all the trims.

All the hardware is sorted from the factory and all dash switches are filled. I skipped the hard top due to scarcity back then and I regret it, otherwise my perfect rig. I never wanted the Sasquatch package in my build and a set or RTR Evo have given me exactly what I wanted.

So is this a really bad idea to buy a "Lemon" Buy Back that was supposedly repaired by Ford "factory" and still has factory warranry??? 17k miles Badlands Sqatch.
I might at least test drive it to see if it actually runs. LOL

The dealer asking price seem awful high for this particular Bronco, I'd expect to pay in the low 40's for this one without the Lemon Label which will stick with it forever.

Edmonds shows the following without the Lemon Buy-back
1. Trade-in $42,630 in clean condition $43,358 outstanding
2. Private Party $44,762 clean $45,562 outstanding
3. Dealer Retail $46,983 clean $47,860 outstanding

The service notes for the visit just before the lemon buyback is suspicious as well.

I think... unless the price was outstanding - I'd pass

But it has a new Compass

This one also will not have the improved steering rack, so there's another $3200 to have it installed.

Autotrader and carfax everyday is the way to find your unicorn without a custom order from Ford.
As others have already said you can add a e-disconnect to any model after you purchase which expands your selection to any model. It’s the v6 being limited to only a few models that’s the challenge.

edit my reading error you said Mic top was ok.

Hello,

Just joined. First Post. Let me know if this is wrong place or anything admins.

My '21 F150 4x4 5.0 3.73, Icons, RCi,ADD, Baja designs, Apex, R/T Trails 35x12.5R17, etc etc
... got totaled by a 75 yo lady who ran a red light and T boned me.
Now looking to get a Bronco.
Need some experienced suggestions.

Trails we run:
Sand Hollow, Toquerville, White mountains, Eastern Sieeras, Mojave, Death Valley, Saline, Coyote Flats, Funnel Lake, Humpback, Az Peace Trail, Grand Canyon West, Red Rocks, Gila WIlderness, etc
Don't run Rubicon, John BUll, Gold Mountain etc,
So need some offroad capabilities.

My Must haves (?) check boxes so far (7-8) :

2023-2026 <40k mi (Is this smart? )

Badlands, e sway bar disconnect, front e locker, (I think I'd need this to not get tipsy)

6 cylinder 2.7 Yeah drove I4 and it sucked !!

4 door

Sasquatch 35’s with HOSS? Billys OK (dont want to spen 10k agin in upgrades, maybe later for 37's LOL)

12” Must have big screen TV NOT the tiny 8”: so I can see Gaia GPS mid or lux? (Old eys LOL)

Hard top blk moulded in color ! Maybe soft top if all else correct? NO cant see out read window with mirror ??? cant cook/work out of back with soft top too low (Esthetics, vs painted)

Only black or gray interior not puke tan orange (wtf just cant live with that funky 2 tone in sand/ornge)

Cactus Gray or Oxford White, (Love it, had space white cant afford new avalance gray in 2026 but touoched one at dealer, almost cried))

Optional: Area 51 or Azure gray (meh could live with it)

metallic carbonized gray last resort

Trying for 45-50k budget.

Thanks to anyone who can help guide me.
Too bad it cannot be black...local dealer still has a new '25 that appears to check your boxes and likely would be in your price range. Also has a new '24 OBX in your color but without many of the other boxes...they at least ordered it with aux switches.

Awesome input, I knew I came to the right place. Its like the oracle for Broncos.

I had them at $47k plus 5K tax lic doc so 52 cash, before I ran carfax. Not outstanding, way too much for permanently branded title. Pass. Might test drive it for comparison.

Yes my buddy broke his tie rod on Ranger raptor, we welded a brace on trail, he upgraded whole rack after we got back.
Figured I'd carry spare upgraded rods and replace/upgrade when I bent/broke em.

Yes unicorn, autotrader, carfax, agregartor, Have looked at Black Diamond and Wildtrak can't figure out Big Bend and Outer Banks options yet. May have to expand my search.
Basically V6, sasquatch, 4 door.
Can add disconnect, rack, screen, hard top later. Worried I'd never get to it though. Maybe 1 or 2 items, Fuel can mounts, radio, lights, and winch would be 1st priorities.

Huge thanks again. Derek, MIke, Brian Jim, Michelle
Will update.

Cheers,
Richard

If you are getting SAS, the differences in trim levels, apart from the swaybar disco that still is locked to Badlands and Fox Shocks on Wildtrak, are limited to what creature comforts you want, and the badge that gets stuck to the fender.

The delta between a Base model SAS and fully loaded Badlands SAS in terms of capability is basically 0. But they will have a lot different interior options, like parking sensors, dual zone climate, 360° camera, ACC cruise, seat heat, etc...

Some pics from last run on Az Peace trail in Jan, with my F150 (RIP) and Ranger Raptor tie rod (like Bronco) trail repair:

Hey OP, I’m a southern UT guy too. Maybe it’s out of the price range, but I’d guess MY2025s are substantially coming down. I have a 25 Badlands SAS Hoss 3.0 2DR. 12” screen, all charcoal interior. Wash out floors, MGV seats, etc. Gotta say, feels optimized for UT, AZ terrain. The newer the vehicle, the more warranty you get.
