Hopefully this is the beginning of something with these tops. Mine is honey combing pretty badly and also has the cracks everyone else has. I think mine is a 3/22 build

It's possible that month was when Ford's supplier changed their manufacturing process so that the honeycomb was "sealed" to prevent water absorption in that material.Dang. I also have a 3/22 build. What changed in February 2022?
While I don't have any cracks, there are areas where I can see the honeycomb pattern. Not sure if that's normal. Anyways, it's interesting. It's possible that month was when Ford's supplier changed their manufacturing process so that the honeycomb was "sealed" to prevent water absorption in that material.
My 2021 build dates shifted 3 times between June & July, was finally built July 21, 2021. The, it disappeared, then the August 2021 letter saying it was held up for a new hardtop. I finally received the vehicle October 22, 2021. The MIC top has been fine, so far, although the three panels have been off 2+ years with the Skyrider.I think it's more than dirt mountain, but definitely probably covers all of those. Early 22MY was never involved in that.
Also just remember, the build dates listed on the recalls are never accurate for some odd reason.
Broncos weren't produced until May of 2021, even though the recall says from 9/2020.
i have a 2024 and the removable panels are honey combed, also had the clam shell replaced last year but thats holding up pretty good so farIt's possible that month was when Ford's supplier changed their manufacturing process so that the honeycomb was "sealed" to prevent water absorption in that material.
9/2020 could be when the tops themselves started being produced in the ramp up to Bronco production?I think it's more than dirt mountain, but definitely probably covers all of those. Early 22MY was never involved in that.

Well, this seems to clear up any of my doubts regarding cold weather failures of the MIC top.I've seen a few cases posted here before. Recall one that was much worse than this one. Here's a prime example of the present recall:

Excellent. I hope your Bronco continues to do well for you just as mine has done for me.While I don't have any cracks, there are areas where I can see the honeycomb pattern. Not sure if that's normal. Anyways, it's interesting.
Thankfully, almost none! I was wondering if freeze/thaw had anything to do with what others experienced.Excellent. I hope your Bronco continues to do well for you just as mine has done for me.
I'm curious, how much snow and ice is your Bronco exposed to in your part of Texas?
I think "freeze/thaw" is why there is that "environmental" phrase in Ford's recall notice.Thankfully, almost none! I was wondering if freeze/thaw had anything to do with what others experienced.
