I took the entire top off last week. When I was putting the middle panel (the longer one) away, I noticed some lumps and definitely some cracking. I called my dealership to get it checked out, but the service adisor kept telling me they dont do body work. I explained to them that this is not a body shop issue, but a faulty top and possibly a warranty issue. Same person told me "well, you can come in, but we wont be able to do anything. You shuld go to a dealership with a body shop" So frustrating. Anyway, is this covered? 2023 Raptor

Defective. Many, many threads on cracked MIC tops. Open a case with Ford, get a case number, and take it to a different dealership for warranty replacement.

Thanks! I know there are other threads, but usually are around the rear top and cracking around window. I could not find much on the actual panels...but then again, im not that good at searching.

Thanks for the advice.

You might want to take this General Service Bulletin with you. It was helpful to me when I went to the dealership.

I've already said this before but these tops are being replaced by the hundreds.

How are still still dealers out there that have no clue that there is even an issue?

Ford should be sending out a full information campaign to every dealer that is a must read for every employee.

This 'head in the sand' mentality is so aggravating.

MIC 2.0. September 21 molding date. Caught this a few weeks before the warranty was up. Dealer replaced under warranty but took over 2 months to get the panel. As you can see, the clamshell has the same waviness/bubbling. They would not replace that part.
Guarantee these tops will all look like crap in 3-5 years.

Because not every dealer has had somebody come in for a replacement. I bought my Bronco from a sizeable dealership, and I was the first one to take it in for replacement. I am positive my Bronco is not the only one from that dealership with a defective top. Some people don't inspect their tops. Other people wait until near the end of their warranty to take it in. The mid-panel on my full replacement top is already warrantable because it has some fucked up waviness on the sides, but it took 2 months to get my top replaced in summer/fall 2024, so I am going to wait a little while to see if the rest of the top holds up or not.

I expect dealerships will see an uptick when people get to the end of the warranty period. All the 21 model year tops were recalled/replaced. Early 22 model year warranty is expiring now. This time next year for the early 23 model year warranty. I have until December '25 to see if my new top cracks on my 23 Bronco.

Well you're correct about not noticing.

I didn't notice my brand new 2024 Bronco had any issues until I saw all the information coming out of the forums etc. I recognize now that I bought it with all of the issues already there.

I'd seen during my research before buying that the early models had issues but that it had been rectified.

Bullshit that they wouldn't replace the other portion. That's warrantable under the General Service Bulletin. I had the same issues (in addition to cracks), and got my entire top replaced, including the non-cracked portions.

I’ve had the Bronco for just over a year. I park it in my garage when not used and it gets professionally washed every 6 weeks (filtered water, yada, yada). The ONLY reason I saw the issue was because I took the panel off to go topless for the first time. I wish I had noticed it earlier.

Just as an update, the service advisor looked at the top and ordered a new top last week. Just got notification that it is in today. So, for all of my complaining, they came through.

Update to my update. I took the Bronco in to get the new middle panel. Apparently, “not all of the parts” arrived. I received a message from service advisor today that they arrived and they will need the Nronco for several hours to install parts. I’m a bit confused as it’s only the middle top panel. What on earth could take “several hours” to install?
