2024 Hard Top Cracking

Does anyone know if the cracks are surface cracks affecting only the finish or are they structural which would weaken the top?

It's like looking at cracks on a frozen lake... it depends.

The MIC cracking is such a common issue. Start it now. They should replace it.

I just noticed this crack today on my 23 Badlands. Its an unpainted 2 door that has 40k on it. I am the second owner and have had it six months now.

Has anyone attempted to replace a defective MIC top and "pay the difference" for a painted top? It seems like they have less problems. I'm sure someone has and will say Ford won't do it, but figured I'd ask...

I tried having this conversation with Ford but they wouldnt even discuss it. The dealership wouldn't either. Just said i would have to take that up with Ford. Im currently waiting for my 2024 2 door with 1500 miles to have the top replaced. They have also come back and said the honeycomb showing through on the front panels is normal. They ordered replacements for me but claim the enw ones look just like the current.

Another interesting thing. They said that the top they ordered for the rear came in but it is apparently used and looks like it came off of somebody elses Bronco. LOL. So now i am waiting for another one to be delivered to the dealership. Fun times.

A lawyer I spoke to couldn't believe that Ford wouldn't agree to let me pay the difference for a shadow black top. I hope that will serve me well in a likely suit against FOMOCO.

If you ask Ford for this and they refuse, get it documented.
