Well I officially have my first hairline crack. It's very minuscule, but I've been laser focused on checking my top a couple days a week since everyone has been reporting issues. Do you think I go to the dealer now for warranty or wait until it gets worse / more cracks form?

A few notes on my specific situation:

- MIC 2.0
- Built in June '22, been driving it since Aug '22
- No crack at time of delivery inspection
- Crack is located on rear cap, below passenger side window
- I noticed it a couple months ago, but at that point was so hard to notice I figured it was just a light scratch.
- Currently have 6,500 miles
- Have not taken the rear cap/top off yet. Just front & middle panels.
- Went off-roading for the first time this past weekend, and that seemed to "open up" the crack a bit more with all the bouncing around (makes sense). I suppose I'm not supposed to take my Bronco off-road, lol.

Other than this, my top has been pretty flawless (compared to others).

What should I do?

Definitely take it now. Any crack is a crack too many. The more people who bring up the issue the more likely they are to honor warranties on the hard tops. The worst they can stay is wait until it gets worse at which point it will be on them, not you for waiting.

Good advice. Thank you!

update from my side

The Ford rep here helped me open a case with the dealer. dealer compared to another bronco in the lot and took pictures and filed a claim with ford warranty. Now they are waiting on the next steps/replacement panels from ford.

Hey guys, I got my 2 door base Bronco back in late September, and this weekend I realized that the hard top is starting to split on both sides near the side windows. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I thought these were issues that were left in the past after the first batch of hard top issues. Pictures attached below.

I took it to my local service center, they took photos to send to Ford, and gave me a receipt of my visit. I will keep you guys updated.

The cracks bleed through when you paint it.

I’m sure they would deny warranty if painted. Probably the best you could do is spray it with a bedliner material at that point. Would seal from water intrusion and possibly hold it all together. Probably add a bunch of weight though.

These appeared recently on my 22. There are many smaller similar scratches visible under better lighting. They don't look nearly as bad as other examples posted here, but this website has made me paranoid. Does it look like anything worth worrying about?

So why can't FORD build a top, like Jeep has for decades, that doesn't crack, flake, break or brake, rattle, and make other noises....Huh??

It's worrying insofar as it's happening when it shouldn't be. Do I think it'll leak? No, probably not. But I'd go to the dealership now to report it before it gets worse.

It would seem like they would. I feel they can deliver a great product. It seems like they pushed quality on the back burner. It starts from the top down to suppliers..
