I am nearing 80 and bought my bronco to go 4 wheeling in comfort…I realized it would need armor,a lift and tires at the offroadeo…so yeah, it had problems that needed solving…
You could have of course gotten the armor, tires and (modest) lift off the showroom floor with a 2DR BadSas. ;-)

most of the additions were to improve off roading for me and I don’t regret them…there are many vehicles that are fine off the showroom for their purpose, but I have also modified a lot of vehicles to better fit my use…the wife’s bmw is all stock and fine but my bronco and model A are far from it…for real reasons…party on!
Wait … you own a Model A?!!

Excellent video! Love his bar btw. I tend to be a sucker for anything that's well designed and well made.

I almost bought the Ford tool it by Motley when it first came out. But then I got to thinking. How many of those tools would I actually use on the road? What kinds of repairs would I actually be making? What spare parts would I have to carry to justify carrying such a comprehensive tool kit?

In short, nice tool kit, but not a need, just a want. I have almost every tool I need in my garage, they just don't say Ford on them and aren't in a nice roll.

I decided to give careful thought to what might actually happen on the trail, keeping in mind my intended use. Not what everyone says will happen. And carry specific tools for those events. For example, a wrench to remove the skid plates. Still working on that list.
I almost did the same thing. But, then reality came in, which is good and I said, you have all those same tools, multiple of the same kind, just not the with the Ford branding. Needless to say, I saved myself 300 and some dollars for Ford branding tools in a little cute nap sack that will be thrown into the ratchet drawer with the others when this vehicle is gone.

Fits inside width-wise. $40. Secured to the bottom of my rear cargo shelf with a couple of quick fists, $15. Downside: no one sees it from the outside and thinks I’m cool.
I went pretty much the same route... Home Depot's version was < $20...

Tucks down behind the back seat with the air compressor and recovery gear perfectly. From the outside, I'm just an Outter Banks mall crawler, just miles from pavement. Draws zero attention.

I love to hear "I'm keeping my bronco forever".
Haha, that was us with our first one until it got murdered! Now, unfortunately, the second 6G is "just" a vehicle. But it still does make me feel 15 again like when I got my first EB.

Oh, I get that. I just like to voice for us stupid bashers out here.

I love to hear "I'm keeping my bronco forever". I'm keeping mine till the body starts ripping from frame flex... then it's time to sell that swayback nag to the glue factory!

Once this one is giving up the ghost I'm LSX-swapping it and going with 44's and 1-tons.

I did get the Sasquatch package but it does not come with 37” tires, 4 “ lift, johnny joint control arms, diff drop or transmission, control arm or shock mount skids, ect…maybe you don’t understand off roading use…

Wait … you own a Model A?!!
yes it is my daily driver…

Just wanted to see what I was sure would be an *amazing* ride. And I’m NOT disappointed. Fantastic! 🙌🏻

Also, I like that I can now read your comments and think, ‘Yeah, well, grain of salt—that guy has Model A for a daily driver!” 😎

I turn 55 next month and spent my youth building hot rods on a budget.
Increase power, break weakest link, fix, break next weakest link, repeat. 🤣
Most of the mods I have done have been functional for my use case.
It's a daily driver that is capable to go places that most other stockish vehicles can't or won't.
A winch to get me further into places I shouldn't go, skids and rails for after using the winch, Starlink to watch movies and call for help, fridge for food and drinks while waiting on help... And molle panels to hold stuff and keep the dogs nose off the rear side windows.
The Hoss 3.0 suspension gave me a little lift and a better ride. The Stroppe wheels save my factory heritage ones. And the chunkier tires assist in the afore mentioned process of getting me further into places I shouldn't go.

I went pretty much the same route... Home Depot's version was < $20...
