Got a question to all that know about suspension.
1. Installed the fox elite 2.5 coil over shocks
2. When going over a couple of woopsis the rear end bottoms out on the second woop, usually traveling around 20 mph
3. What do I need to do to prevent this from happening?
4. I have the knobs maxed out to firm
5. Should I replace the rear springs or disconnect the coil overs and adjust the hight or both.
6. Have a 35 as a spare on the gate.
7. They were installed less than 2k miles ago.
Looking forward to everyone's insight. ✌

More Speed. Sounds counterintuitive, but I don't think running slow lets the suspension dampen the way it's designed. I don't have the FOX shocks, just the HOSS 2.0 Bilsteins, but I find that they run a LOT smoother over the whoops when I'm at 40.

The rear springs that come with those shocks are too soft, even for stock weight Bronco's. Do you have any additional weight from skid plates, rock sliders or anything like that?

I'd also recommend measuring your rear shocks (at ride height) using this shock measurement guide to see where they are set. Our recommended length at ride height for those coilovers is about 23". If you are shorter than that, you could add some pre-load to gain some ride height. It should help with the rear bottoming out as frequent, but if you are maxed out with adjusters and still bottoming out easy, then you probably need more than that.

Based on what you described, revalving the shocks along with a spring upgrade would be my suggestion. When we sell these coilovers, we highly recommend the spring and tuning package upgrade to prevent this.

Please feel free to reach out if you would like our help getting any of that work done!
