1.25” or 1.5” Wheel Spacers on Big Bend?

Hey all,

I’m planning on putting 35" Falken Wildpeak Tires (315/70R17) on my stock Big Bend wheels (17x7.5). Gonna use bilstein 5100’s for the lift and set em at 2.2” in the front and 1.5” in the back.

In looking at wheel spacers, I see options for 1.25” and 1.5”. Which ones will be best for the job?

Are spacers required?
Will three inches make some trails inaccessible?

My falkens are quiet and adequate.
I run at 23psi on a vehicle of close to identical specifications as a two door bronco.

SAS wheels are about 1” offset from your stock wheels

0 offset is about a 2 1/8” spacer.

Just to give you some comparison.

I would say, since they are easy additions, I would try with nothing and only add what you absolutely need to avoid rubbing.

I'd say get the smaller ones to more closely match the Sasquatch wheel offset. I really dislike spacers, but they are a lot less expensive than new wheels. You'll have to remove the crash bars, but you probably already know that.

you will rub with out not bad i would do 35 11.50 in stead . less weight and no spacer

I assume your goal is to prevent rubbing, not aesthetics? I think either should do the job just make sure to get good quality spacers. I use 1.4” spacers on mine with no problems. You may need to remove your crash bars. Otherwise the issue will be how much poke you want beyond your fender flares.

Got it. I see too many people saying they run without but I understand less is more. I think with 12.5” wide tires I get .5” from the UCA’s. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, to prevent rubbing. Getting quality spacers for sure. Removing crash bars for sure too. I had a feeling the difference between 1.5” and 2” was just the poke but wanted to verify. Thanks!

It’s true… going with spacers for now to wait on getting the wheels I want in the future.. saving some $ for now. And I think the 1.5”a are probably the way to go at this point.

Yeah… thanks for confirming I’ll rub. Kinda surprised at the people that say I won’t with 12.5” wide tires.

you know, it is possible they won’t rub without spacers. Assuming you remove the crash bars, there’s quite a bit of room in there. I only needed the spacers because I went with aftermarket coilovers that had a reservoir and my 285/70/17’s (11.2” wide) almost certainly would’ve rubbed the reservoir line. But I don’t think Bilstein 5100s do. Yours are literally just a little more than half an inch wider than mine and you are not dealing with a reservoir line. You might do a search specifically asking who has Bilstien 5100s and 12.5” tires, and if there is any rubbing.

Man… this whole thing is turning into a rat race haha. I agree, I should probably research people who run the exact setup but man… every time I consider one spec another concern pops up haha. I guess that’s what I’m here to navigate though. Thanks!

Yup. Lots of rabbit holes to go down. But a ton of people here with lots of experience who have dealt with many different situations so it’s a great resource.
