Upgrading suspension for stock 4dr badlands. Hoss 3.0 vs Bilstein 6112

Hey guys, I want to upgrade my suspension in my 25’ MT 4dr. Badlands. Obviously the hoss 3.0 is a better suspension but will I need to upgrade the steering rack and tie rods as well? Will 37’s fit with a Hoss 3.0? I’m getting varying answers from Google. I love that the bilsteins are adjustable and I can adjust in my driveway. Just looking for opinions here. I do Offroad, but nothing insane……yet! Pic for attention!

I believe the '25 BLs have the severe duty rack and tie rods. 37s will fit with proper wheel offset.

You'll need to do a perch collar lift on the HOSS/Fox shocks to fit 37s without rubbing offroad.

Also not sure if it will sway you much, but if you are doing much off-roading apparently the Foxs are supposed to be rebuilt like every 10 to 15,000 miles depending on your driving.

Google says 40K-50K miles for daily driving, light off-road duty. But, yeah, something more like 10K-15K miles for frequent/severe off-roading.

So maybe the OP is between those milages. That number kind of caught me off guard as we have a '24 WT mall crawler with about 10K on it.

Most of my offroading (and 3.5 miles of the road to my property) is unmaintained forrest roads and the like. From what I've read, the Bilstein and Hoss3 Fox shocks are good mostly street shocks, where the Fox Performance 2.5 are more plush on bumpy dirt roads.

I JUST put these on my truck a week or so ago. I used the Eibach HD/Lift HOSS replacement springs with them instead of my stock HOSS 2.0 springs. It's not bad, but it's no quite perfect yet either.

My use is mainly daily driving, with low speed trail stuff when ever I can (couple of times per month). Some forest service road time, too.

The 6100s (6112) bilsteins have a circlip style ring that the spring mount sits on. They are adjustable by removing the coilovers from vehicle and using a bench top spring compressor. On vehicle adjustment is very sketchy. They do not have a threaded spring mount that can be adjusted while vehicle is on Jack stands.

I was going to comment on that, too, but wasn't sure if there were compressors that will work on the Bronco. My dual threaded shoe style don't fit. The single threaded shaft clamp style apparently fit if you disconnect the tie rod and also the knuckle from the UCA...but you're not to much less work in with that than full shock removal. Even if a compressor did easily fit, dealing with the circlip on the truck with the spring compressor while under death and dismemberment loads...not something I'd want do. Maybe not so bad with threaded perch adjustments.

I dropped height by one circlip ring in the rear while coilover was on the vehicle. Not the smartest thing I have ever done. I would not be doing that to the almost 500ish lbs/in front springs. Pull the coilovers and do it properly on a bench.

That is the style compressor I have. On the Eibach Pro Trucks + HD Springs I just removed, I was trying to disassemble to save the springs and I cant even get the spring shoes between the spring coils. I only have about 5/16" preload on that, so I don't think removing the PL will get me there.

Edit: it doesn't....and I backed the top hat nut off as far as it'll go and still be fully engaged with threads....but still some unknown amount of preload.
