Looks like Bestop is offering another square back soft top option that folds back ... for the Wrangler. Can we get something like this for the Bronco? Efforts are being put into Jeep soft top options, how about some love for the Bronco as well.
Some people locate their subwoofer amp next to the subwoofer, in the rear cargo area hidden behind the plastic paneling. I am wondering about the convenience of that location in terms of changing amp settings.
For example if you occasionally want to mess with the gain or other controls. Or...
When depressing the clutch, as my leg extends, it pushes down on the front of the seat cushion. Makes depressing the clutch more difficult, because my leg is having to also compress the front of the seat.
Anyone else experience that issue? I can lower the seat, but then it's too low. I was...
Jim Farley indicating larger EV SUVs is not where it's at. And Ford will focus on smaller more efficient EVs. Wonder what that means for Bronco.
I agree with him in the sense that smaller efficient urban vehicles are the sweet spot right now in terms of EV bang for the buck. But Ford mostly...
Is anyone familiar with or tried this type of fuse for an amp power wire? I was thinking of mounting it to the under hood battery terminal assembly. The amp wire would bolt to the fuse holder stud.
What's up with the mediocre traction control on the Bronco? TFL posted a video comparison, and the Bronco did not fare well in the 3 wheels slip tests and related trail comparisons.
Ford engineers seem to have failed in terms of aggressive use of wheel spin sensors and brake actuation to...
At introduction the Bronco was competitive with Wrangler in terms of entry level price. In fact Ford beat Jeep in terms of price/features. But fast forward to 2024, build and price is showing $7k extra to get into the most basic offered Bronco compared to Wrangler. :(
$28k is what got me into...
Last week my son started our Bronco - and a raccoon scampered out of the engine bay!
Looks like the raccoon was sleeping on top of the engine. Grimed it up with muddy paw prints and oily residue. Tore some foam insulation in various areas. Also must have got caught in the running serpentine...
So far I'm happy with my Bronco, other than the plastic seat lever that broke first day. Anyone else have issues with this lever? I'm having to do the "steam punk" think with locking pliers, until the dealership can source a replacement.
I could try to glue the broken part, but not convinced...
Apparently my Bronco is getting built this week, and the sticker indicates it includes the headliner. I did NOT want that headliner. Has anyone tried to remove it? Man, I hope whatever glue they use is easy to remove, else it's going to be a mess. :(
Anyone recommend a good shop for tire mount/balance? (I'm in Chicagoland area.) Is the so called "touchless" mount worthwhile to find? My wheels are used and have weights already stuck to them, but I should probably remove those weights, before getting the new tires mounted/balanced?
Last time...
Edit: sorry this should be in a different topic area
While waiting for a Bronco, I've been spending time fixing my 1972 Land Rover. Because the Rover has only lap belts, I was trying (without much luck) to determine the exact legality/compliance with Illinois seat belt regulations.
Anyway...
Yesterday evening my son and I finally saw a 2-door Bronco in person, and even got a short test drive! (Thanks forum member Will2497 for cluing me in about a local dealership having one.)
A couple months ago after a 4-door viewing event, I wrote Ford hit a home run. After now viewing and...
I saw the new Bronco (Saturday, April 24) at an event in the western suburbs of Chicago. Very impressed. In my opinion, Ford hit it out of the park .
My angle? I'm a long time owner of open top 4x4s since 1989 (Jeep and Land Rover). I did a lot of off-roading while living out west. Majority...
Some people like to call this a "tin foil hat" concern. But in the news today, golfer Tiger Woods was recently in a crash, and looks like the authorities are wanting to look at what they are calling the vehicle "black box". (Article link below.)
Specifically the authorities mention using the...
Based on the info at the Ford site, looks like both the 2 and 4 door Bronco models have a one piece rear hardtop section (sides/top/rear window). And then the 2 door has one front section over the front seats. While the 4 door has two sections, one over front seats and one over the rear seats...
