Jim Farley indicating larger EV SUVs is not where it's at. And Ford will focus on smaller more efficient EVs. Wonder what that means for Bronco.

I agree with him in the sense that smaller efficient urban vehicles are the sweet spot right now in terms of EV bang for the buck. But Ford mostly bailed a while back on commuter cars.

I don't think the Bronco will ever or should ever get an EV model. It should get a hybrid model though.
For now that probably would be the ticket, although the complexity of gasoline and electric motivation in a hybrid is less appealing. A gasoline Bronco and reasonable cost EV urban commuter type car would be a nice combo at least for my household usage.

You’re right but being able to afford insurance for two cars unfortunately is a thing of the past.

Ford lost $5.1 BILLION on evs in 2024. They're understandably gunshy, especially considering the new administration's antipathy towards them.
I see two markets for EVs, maybe three if you want to consider "glob1al warming" ideologues. People who can use a 2nd car for urban and suburban local use, and 2) People who are attracted to high-tech bells-and-whistles. In both cases, you're looking at upscale consumers with significant discretionary income. A few might like the "brawny" image of the Bronco, but not enough to invest in the engineering and production of them.

With the technology the way it is now it just wouldn't make sense to make a EV Bronco. I could see a hybrid Bronco in the future, I think we will surely see a hybrid Bronco Sport with the Escape being sunsetted.

It should get a V8, you wienies should buy a Prius.
Finally a voice of reason has entered the chat. Thank you.

Of course it should've had a V8 from the beginning, and just offer the 2.7l turbo for the girlies  No need to have ever tossed in a 4 banger.

For 0% Financing, I had to give one a try. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and comfort. It’s the best of both worlds for me.

I was just looking at your vehicle list, you have a '21 Maverick? They didn't come out till '22.
Yeah, should say ‘22. It’s one of those first edition models. Wife really wanted the red that was only available with it. Even a great little truck.
