$20 an hour? That’s lofty. How will the CEO pay himself 20 million a year if he pays them $20 an hour?
His base pay is 1.4 million. Stock awards and other comp is not realized and amounts to about 5 million. So not too bad for a multibillion dollar corporation. I've been in HR and comp most of my life, that a bargain when non profit CEOs are paid 10 million a year.

I call BS. This smells like disinformation. There’s no way you launch completely oblivious to something like this.

And if they really did launch while completely oblivious to this issue, then they deserve the mass cancellations that are coming.
You must be fairly new here if you’re calling BS on @PREMiERdrum. Dude had already proven he’s legit.

Always amazes me that people still fall for the non-profit marketing scam.

They need to move the plant here to South Carolina. No unions to worry about. 😁 BMW is having no delays either. Just saying.

**runs and hides**
The OP mentions Toxic Management.. not unions and we don't even know if this is an union factory.
Are you as worried about the benefits you enjoy because of unions such as 40 hour work week, overtime, weekends, employee base health care, pensions, child labor laws and more.

This is all making more sense now, especially when I relate it to other past experiences of IT companies who were so inept their customers were coming in to fix things (in one case, bought a partner facility, retrain and regroup everyone from management to the cube monkeys, then once it was running like a well-oiled machine, sold it back to the original partner co.). Now I figure it went under the radar because they used the pandemic as a veil to hide things hoping they'd get it sorted out before they got found out. Sure, there are supply, facility, and headcount issues, but it sounds like those were exaggerated to cast the veil. And it sounds like Ford was watching, and decided to step in since it's their brand at risk. Ford has to mind their Ps & Qs to avoid adding legal challenges to the list. I hope they do get it sorted out fast.

Bad enough when people from within the company have to go sort things out at a different facility, but to have the customer come in and spend a bunch of time sorting your stuff out for you has to be awful.

Why was there only one supplier in the first place?
This happens more often than you would ever think.

Single supplier for a major component is very common. There’s a huge investment in tooling so by doubling your suppliers would effectively double your cost.

When coupled with all the corruption they cause......might be a wash. I am in a union truth be told.

I guess Ford just went with the lowest bidder without considering current management?!
What you guys need to realize is there is really only one OEM manufacturer for sun roofs, moon roofs, convertible rag tops, any removable/retractable roof system. Webasto. They even make the motorized retracting transformer top on the new C8 corvette. There is absolutely no reason to question why Webasto got this contract, only how poorly it’s been executed.

Truth. Ford has been using Webasto for decades.
