Thank you, Heidi and Ashley! We love you both!Heidi of Bronco Battalion USA got some nice shots of the Shadow Black 2 door Out Banks by 4WP with 37" tires. Looks like the reason no one saw it bc it got stripped and re-fitted. Tires, wheels, looks of other parts. Take a look!
Steele broke the front shaft while leading into the Graveyard. thought for sure when that happened Slawson was gonna come by and treat him like a rock. He has done that in the past.I think Healy broke the right front axle.
Yes, my mistake, Steele busted the front shaft. Thanks for the correction.Steele broke the front shaft while leading into the Graveyard. thought for sure when that happened Slawson was gonna come by and treat him like a rock. He has done that in the past.
Healy said he replaced 4 driveshafts through out the day. Last one was in the Graveyard, he didn't have another and Shirley came by and gave him his spare. That's what got him back.
................... now to find out who won that 4WP Bronc.
I chose the OBX for that exact reason! I also don't plan to rock crawl so I didn't need the front sway bar disconnect along with its added weight. I will also probably switch the Factory beadlocks to something aftermarket and lighter. If there anything like my raptors they are quite heavy!Man almost every Sasquatch we see has the front steel bumper/bash plates.
Am I an anomaly? Getting OBX sas with regular bumper?
My thinking is this
1. up my payload from low 900 to 1000. Front bumper and bash plates are probably close to 100 lbs. Real world, I will be running in excess of 1100 lbs of payload on trips. Plus I keep the fogs...
2. Save 825. Maybe I could see what my payload sticker is on delivery and could always go aftermarket if theres better/lighter options to make it more unique. I would think it’s a DIY install and would cost me around the same anyway
3. knowing what we know about the front license plate, I like the idea of holding out an aftermarket bumper to see if there are better mounting solutions. I still have 825 of play money I didn’t give to Ford and don’t have labor costs
How much would a set up like this cost?Heidi of Bronco Battalion USA got some nice shots of the Shadow Black 2 door Out Banks by 4WP with 37" tires. Looks like the reason no one saw it bc it got stripped and re-fitted. Tires, wheels, looks of other parts. Take a look!
I'm guessing based off the last time I priced out things like this for my JK. Mind you I was taking it to a off road specific shop. Wheels and tires alone probably 2500-3k. Then 3k plus or minus all the steering components! Then the cost of the work added on.How much would a set up like this cost?
These pictures are dirtier than your first set.Heidi of Bronco Battalion USA got some nice shots of the Shadow Black 2 door Out Banks by 4WP with 37" tires. Looks like the reason no one saw it bc it got stripped and re-fitted. Tires, wheels, looks of other parts. Take a look!
Oh yeah they are! Riding dirty all over KOH! I say it got some play I saw a picture somewhere, where it was in action now I can't find it!These pictures are dirtier than your first set.
Personally I wish they would strip his ride. Regardless of having a lot of talent, he lacks a lot of heart. I mean 1st time the vehicle is in a race and he doesn't want to push through to cross the line once the issue was on its way to being remedied. After the tremendous effort his co-driver put in, he was about to let a lot of people who spent countless $$$$$$$$ on him down without even a fight. Pure . An event like KOH it is a major accomplishment to cross the finish line. The driver that wanted to quit was disappointing to hear. Co driver has grit. Good on him!
