How often do constraint numbers come out?
There harder to obtain these days, but I think dealers get a refresh weekly

That's how I read it.

Global supply chain.... Hmmpf. I stopped hearing that excuse from every company except Ford....6 months ago.
I work in an industrial engine and equipment service industry and the jacked up global supply chain is wreaking havoc on us as well as our competitors. It's a very real thing. Ford's goal is to sell as many vehicles as they possibly can. In no way ever would they purposely hurt themselves.
They had no way of knowing about supply chain issues just like many other manufacturers around the world. It sucks, It's real and Ford is suffering very badly like many others.
Sorry to hear your unfortunate news.

I believe it is the SAS package - specifically the Goodyear “Wrangler” err I mean special ordered tires that they can’t produce enough of without that writing on the side.
MIC - LUX etc are constraints on top of the tire issue.

I just ran some new more accurate numbers as of this week.

Assuming 78,000 total to build

Wildtrak ~ 21,060 orders and able to build 11,700 so 9,360 can’t be built in MY23

Hardtop ~ 66,300 orders and able to build 52,260 so 14,040 can’t be built in MY23

SAS ~ 39,000 orders and able to build 31,200 so 7,800 can’t be built in MY23

Lux ~ 35,580 orders and able to build 31,200 so 4,680 with Lux can’t be built

Remember you have to have all 3 on your build unless a 2 door and the MIC doesn’t have to drop on a 2 door.

Curious the source of your numbers as I feel out of it relative to what everyone else seems to know?

Stop allowing hard top and SAS on base. Base model is….well….BASE! Maybe not even SAS on Big Bend. Start bigger add-ons at Black Diamond. Make it a TRUE step up where you go to higher trim to get higher add-ons rather than trying to make every trim “modular”. You just can’t be successful that way.
Problem is the basesquatch is a big seller and the best value overall. A lot of people want what the sas offers without the tech and luxury stuff. Why should they have to buy stuff they don't want to get stuff they do? Ford offering the sas pkg on all trims isn't a problem. You forget some folks don't have the unlimited funds to step up to higher trim to get the sas pkg. Also if you don't allow the hard top on the base then there would be no 2 door bases. Your comment really has no logic to it.

Your comment assumes Ford gives a crap if people can’t afford the higher add-ons. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it has no logic. If you want to get rid of the INSANE backlog, get rid of allowing people to have every trim level exactly how they want it. You simply can’t sustain that business model, obviously. Your comment looks from the view of the consumer, not the view of the producer. I’m not saying your thought is wrong. People WANT Basesquatch. Basesquatch is a great value.

That doesn’t mean that offering SAS, MIC…etc. on all trim levels, including lower trims levels wasn’t a bad business model from the start.

Just got the email today as well. Have a WT, MIC, HI, on order since 3/22. I was just at my dealer (sales mgr) yesterday asking about all of this. He seemed unaware. Sent him the email today and haven’t heard back. I’m going to let it ride and see what happens.

From a dealer. The 78,000 I’m not sure about but seems to the number most are in agreement based on Ford quarterly YE data

There has to be something on it that is more constrained than others
