Not a fan.

I guess my hopes of the S550’s dropping in value have disintegrated. I really want an S550 now.

I'm glad it wasn't just me who immediately thought "Camaro"!

Seriously, Ford. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I guess they knew there would be a mad rush of people trying to get their hands on the "last gas-engined Mustang", with dealers charging insane amounts of ADM because they knew it would be such a hot commodity.

So they thought, "How can we keep that from happening???"

And here we are.

This is such a weird mix of a car. Parts of it directly carried over from the s550 and had a baby with a current Camaro. Plus has a little bit of a Z-car, Aston Martin, and KITT sprinkled in.

The GT/PP that’s in the Area 51-ish color looks pretty good, but the weird headlight/taillight design kills it for me. Overall I think it’s a pretty decent looking sports car, but not necessarily a good Mustang if that makes sense.

It looks like they widened the chassis to bring the wheels out to meet the rest of the body, which is why it's lost some of its curves. It's pretty obvious they're attempting to hide that with Jedi mind tricks. Wouldn't surprise me if this extra width was needed for a future electric version. I cannot explain why they chose to copy Camaro for the rest of the exterior. The HP looks pretty comparable to what we have today: 480hp vs. "approaching 500hp", likely no impressive changes there. Am not a fan at all of the new infotainment system layout. I prefer in-dash. Everything here makes me love my 6th gen Mustang that much more. It would not be the first time Ford has ruined the Mustang. Hanging onto both of my Fords for as long as they'll run, then probably moving onto Nikola or Rivian or whoever is the new leader in 2035. I don't think it will be Ford.

From watching the reveal in Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit it looked like front and rear bumper cover was the only real external change over the S550, with a modified hood, sure the interior with the Chinese spec wide screen look across two screens is new, but externally it doesn't read as a new generation, though we weren't really allowed close up to them.

I'll reserve final judgement until seeing it up close, but so far I'll keep my 2016 GT premium as the sport pony, and my OBX as the sport utility pony.

I like the glass console. Big win there.

I wasn’t blown out of the park by the horse power numbers compared to other vehicles like the Challenger.

Body shape I think still resembles the Mustang just a slight updated look. I think they could of gone wider on the rear end taking some notes from braptor.

Overall the tech updates is the showcase from what I could see.
