Let me be clear. If they got an inventory car (that they didn't play games to acquire) and took on the risk and finance cost to get that car, throw as large a markup as you can get and have at it. like you said, I chose to deal with them, they only have the order for that reason and should honor whatever they wanted. I did press dealer about a month ago for a countersigned Sales Agreement and they did send it, so I think I am good.Pretty sad you had to worry about this, but with everything weāve seen so far I donāt blame you one bit. I was skeptical with my dealer. I had a signed PA but once the dual tops were removed the MSRP changed. They made another one for me though last week and it took a load off my shoulders. The dealers seem to forget we chose to work with them, itās not like they were our only option. I even chose a dealer 45 mins away from me because they were wonderful to work with in the past. The ones close to me (5 mins away) suck.
I do get where these dealers are coming from, i just got my 80YO mom a $25k hyundai that had a $2k ADM on it. Dealer usually has 500 car inventory, currently has 63... they are bleeding from a business that isn't their main source of $. they are also going to lose a lot of service business paid for by the MFG given there are less new cars having warranty fixes, and three years from now there will continue to be a shortage of used cars since less cars will be coming off leases, that will keep up the price of used cars..
