You linked to a 2.3L part; is that right? What’s the dyno say?
Yes they share the same throttle body 2.3 2.7 3.0 . No dyno yet. I'm still finishing up my full bolt ons. Have a little more whoosh sounds

I can’t find any dyno numbers online either but lots of people seem to think they aren’t worth it. Probably a little better throttle response as the plate allows more air through at a higher rate.

Sucks about your GPE TB. Hopefully Joe was able to take care of you.

Nice! I was wondering when someone was going to spend the dough on one of these :) Curious to hear some additional thoughts on it.

Did you have GPE port your intake manifold as well?

Yes I have the ported raptor manifold. Tried to get the gpe throttle body to work before I gave up. I had to make sure it wasn't user error with install. Threw the Ford one on and it ran no issues.

Installed this today. Works well so far!

Had a ported one from gig performance. But it came with defective motor.

So I did the math just to have a grasp of the difference which is .146” or just over 1/8”. I can’t imagine it makes a difference you can feel or measure on the dyno. But I’m no expert. Porting is another story if things are mismatched inside the runner.

The other one pictured was the ported GPE one, not stock.
Plus there's only so much bigger you can go without causing issues on stock tuning. Custom tuning is a different story, but not everyone has that.

Grabbed this off the mustang forum

Stock is 63mm inlet, 61.4 mm outlet, and about 60.8mm in the central section. The FRPP 70mm is 70mm inlet, 65mm outlet (matches the intake manifold opening).

Great mod for a PD blower a total waste of time and money on this level of turbocharged engine. Glad it makes you feel better cause that's about all it's gonna do.
Lol thanks. I'm just doing whatever I can bolt on. I know it's minimal at most.

If you are after the "whoosh" sound, there is a cheaper way (less labor too!). Just open the roof.

Need to look at it differently... 'area'
Throttle Body, Valve (plus lift), Pistons (plus stroke) Exhaust... etc

Oh, I understand volume, but there’s a big difference between .147” and .500” volume wise.
