My Bronco has finally arrived at the Dealership as of Friday last week! BUT I still can't get my updated "price protection" or private offer for 2023, so I can't pick up the car.

Has anyone else had any success getting this to their dealer? My dealer has also been trying to get it on his end and is waiting on the area manager at this point. Its pretty annoying that the car is ready but I'm still waiting on something!

What are they telling you that you can't "get it"? I got mine yesterday by calling the 800 #. The rep I spoke to had the certificate # and the program #.

I had no luck on the chat but first time I called they "found" mine

They are just saying that they can't find the certificate or program number in my file. I had a certificate number for 2022. They just said the dealership has to look into it on their end which my dealer has been without much luck yet.

That sucks. Not surprising, but sucks nonetheless. Seems like everyone gets different info from every person they talk to

So after confirming with my sales guy the train car I had been assigned would arrive today, it arrived this morning at 530a, Ford updates my delivery estimate to 3 weeks from now. He's off today so I hit up Ford Chat for the wtf. They say my Bronco was removed from the train in Blue Island IL a week ago and it is pending assignment to another train car.

I have several problems with this.

First, there is no facility anywhere near blue Island designed to unload vehicle transit rail cars. Such facilities are big and obvious. You can see them clearly from satellite photos. Blue Island can rearrange train car's but not unload them afaict.

Second, why would my Bronco be removed from the car that was headed the right direction for delivery?

This doesn't smell right.

For all those using CSX rail and plan on using their automated tracking via phone. Be advised that the way you enter the Letters in the first part of your rail car # is really stupid! You must enter the digit that corresponds to the letter (easy) but then you need to add a number that relates to the letters position on that digit (on the phone pad). For example: my rail car # is TTGX973741. To enter the first four letters (TTGX) into the phone you need to hit the following numbers on the keypad: 81 81 41 92. Their voice recognition completely sucks-a$$ so you need to figure out your key sequence to get past this step. Another thing to utilize is the # key to complete what you just entered. Hope this helps somebody from getting really frustrated like I did.

This is a life saver, trying to get that computer system to recognize the letter "C" made me homicidal. Thanks for the tip!

Noticed my tracker said final preparations. So I just went by on my lunch break and sure enough it's sitting out back.


Edit - Went by on my way home and I love it. Other than the wheels.. no offense to anyone who likes them but they look like a bunch of cheap spares. Not even like a decent set of steelies lol.

So I talked to my dealership and indeed he has access to VIN VIEW, which is a significantly more accurate tracker than whatever Ford Chat is using. Yesterday my train arrived in El Mirage, but Ford updated my est. delivery to 2-3 weeks from now. Sales guy expects it early this coming week (which starts tomorrow). Ford Chat says the truck's not on a rail car and is in Blue Island IL.

Why do they do this to us? Just turn on the @#$%^! GPS and let us track the thing's actual location.

Thanks! After I had gotten home they messaged me and said I could come drive it, that it'd be ready to sell Monday. I went ahead and drove my Jeep back over. They treated me right. They didn't low ball me or play any games. Got me approved for what I had hoped for. The only issue is my private offer is missing. He's got to call his rep Monday and sort it out.

Hopefully yours shows up soon. As long as they sort it out it appears I'll be driving it home Monday.

Tracker switched to "Built" with a 1/20/23 date. Still no email. I was told by Ford chat that I was on Chip hold yesterday.

For anyone having trouble with price protection, my dealership was unsure how that would work, but taking some advice from another thread I mentioned looking in "Smart Vincent" and my sales guy immediately knew what to do and found my price protection straight away. Hope that helps!
