2nd year coating the frame with Blaster Shield on the outside and Fluid Film on the inside. Seems to work very well so far. Ahhh, the joys of living in the rust belt.

Looks pretty good. It's tough living in the rust/salt belt when you love to keep your vehicles pristine. Been there done that for many, many years. Sanding, undercoating, painting undercarriage components. And rinsing the slat off after every storm- sometimes 3X a week. Retired to So Fl now, no salt here but have brutal sun.

It's a necessary evil, that's for sure!

What about our aluminum bodies? Airports are restricted from using salt because it corrodes planes....what about us?

Several decades ago a Chicago mayor lost an election partly due to not have the streets cleared after a big snow. Since then the area goes over the top with salting and snow removal. Terrible in terms of rust.

I was unable to apply WoolWax last year and now my Bronco frame has surface rust in some areas. I'm thinking I should try a de-salt spray cleaner first, and then apply the WoolWax. Has anyone had good luck with any particular de-salt cleaner brand?

"Salts-Gone"...stuff works great on just about anything exposed to salt and/or salt brine.

The sun is brutal on cars can be worse than salt. My daughter took my Pontiac Vibe from Nebraska to Tampa and it sat outside for just one year and it really messed it up. But if you are able to keep the car under cover it will last forever.

I live in the Midwest. I looked under my vehicle last week. 3 winters and no concerning rust whatsoever at this time. I was actually very surprised how clean it is. They don’t use salt so much like they did in the past. They spray some brine down. I make sure to get undercarriage car washes regularly during the winter.

What was the application like? Do you just spray everything underneath the vehicle?

I keep the Bronco inside most of the time and park in the shade when it is outside and the sun is out if I can. I also 303 Protect the MIC top and plastic fender flares and other black plastic on the cowl, front fascia and rear bumper often. I specifically ordered white as color too just because of the sun. I wax every 3 months too. So far so good, no fading. My daily driver (Colorado truck) stays outside and is waxed and 303 protect even more often. It is white too, LOL. But undercarriages are spotless, and 0 rust anywhere.

Here in Michigan, they use salt and brine like it's going out of style. My last F150 took a couple seasons to start rusting slightly, then it was off to the races. This vehicle I protected before the first winter hit.

Pretty much, but I try to stay away from the rubber portions of the brake lines. It shouldn't hurt them but I try to stay away just cause it's not necessary for the to be coated.

Nice...thinking of something like this for my ride. These road treatment/chemicals are brutal...my driveway's pitting @ street-end & former 2018 Colorado lost paint on DD bottom - even when I religiously ran through washes year-round, and always wiped door edges.

It's definitely worth it for the small cost of the products. I do it myself for about $75
