I'm looking for an exhaust that doesn't hurt my departure angle, that I won't mind much if I bash it on a rock, and that doesn't increase the dB level in the cabin with the windows up. If you can make it sound better without increasing dBs or affecting departure angle, then maybe I'd be interested. Otherwise, aftermarket exhausts aren't for me.

Well that was awful, but at least the last one didn’t sound like it was trying too hard. The fast and furious sound is for 16 year olds in Honda’s.

Yep the 2.3l in the RS is not at all bad sounding. While plenty of people think V8=best sounding motor (lots of time they’re not actually) people manage to make those sound like shit all the time.

Sadly this dual outlet muffler (not dual exhaust) will just be louder than the normal one. The 2.7 will never sound good. The extra bends will cause the one side to have greatly reduced flow at idle. On a cold day, the condensation will steam out of the short side in far greater volume, the asymmetric flow will look very odd. Like you have a blocked exhaust on the long side. One the plus side*, it is probably heavier and it flat out states you lose departure angle. Also it is expensive.

* a plus for Ford as they'll make money on it.
