I think small wheels can look great.. the key is proportions though, the wheel wells on the bronco are HUGE and thats why smaller wheels just dont look as good as they could. Here are a couple photos of small and large wheels. The vintage land rovers really show both sizes well.

Aftermarket "could" provide a flare solution for those of us that go base and reduce the "appearance" of the oversize wheel wells on our choice. Certainly could be much much more stylish than the strange aftermarket flares we have seen.

That would be really cool

Once you upgrade to Sasquatch it's not a Base model anymore IMO. It's a $40k Off-Roading animal called Sasquatch.
On a 2-door you can get base sasquatch MSRP for $37,380 the most Bronco for the money in my opinion. Save the lighted vanity mirrors and halo headlights for first editions haha.

CLOSE>.. Had they allowed for more choices, I could see a build with steelies (black or other) and 32 or 33's plus high package. Or even the build in the OP with sig lights and 12" screen plus larger tires.
Sounds to me like you want a Badlands...

I'm assuming you are talking about the 2dr, and for that I agree. But on the 4dr, the value of the base compared to the BB isn't there. I am not getting Sasquatch, it's just not a good fit for what I will use it for. If I was to purchase a base 4dr I would have immediately spent at least $2K for wheels/tires, had a significantly uncalibrated speedo (with no help in sight for that, something I've researched and discussed with aftermarket vendors/Ford/etc. extensively), 3.73 open diff, no Cactus Gray, and a bunch of extras like tint and fog lights to still buy. And if I wanted to re-gear and get a locker at least another $2K. When you add all that up the Big Bend makes a lot of sense.
Agreed. Albeit I'm 2dr BB so I am paying a Big Bend tax, I figure $1500. I want the 4.27 locker, I love the BB wheels, 32's are adequate (I may upgrade before wear out) fog lights, tint, interior options and access to colors is worth something so BB it is.

EDIT: BTW any one getting BB or higher trim is paying the "BB Tax" since pricing really starts there. Base is value price to keep starting MSRP under $30K

I considered escalating to a 32-inch tire after I get my Base, but I am a fervent believer in not messing with how the engineers designed a vehicle to perform from the factory (other than perhaps power plant, for some). I don’t want to screw up speedo/odo calibration, and frankly 30s will get me anywhere I want to go. I grew up in the 70s when most of us did not lift our vehicles, and we went everywhere. When I look at Gen 1 factory Bronco photos, I remember why I immediately went with the Base.

Regarding the big wheel wells, again, they were designed this way for a reason. The bigger the tire, the more run.

This brings up a question I hadn’t thought of before: Does switching to larger tires void your warranty in any way?

Loving the base trim and confirms by base 4dr Squatch decision. I'm holding off for a '22 to get the manual/2.3L and hold the price to the 40k range, which I think is a screaming bargain considering the base equipment level. If base suatch came with the steel wheels for a grand less would be even better!

A quick stop at Discount Tires to put on some 265/75-16 AT and I’m a happy camper.

They kicked it out of the cool kids club. 😂
Yep, real Broncos like this Base model want to be outside, in the elements, and not in some heated garage "cool kids" country club.

I bet base broncos actually make it more trails than the upper level trims.
